We were in Orlando during Hurricane Ian. We had the start of the rain whilst doing MNSSHP, on the Tuesday night, then spent two days in the hotel. So pleased you didn't have too much damage
Can I just say that I absolutely love the vibe that you both have, always love your music selection fantastic content, I’m self employed but if I had a boss I would love it to be you. Glad you’re both ok after the hurricane and please keep up the fantastic work.🤗❤️
Thank you for your kind words Cordelia. What you see is naturally how we are all the time, we are best friends. I do put a lot of time and thought into the music choices so appreciate you noticing.
Glad Yr both safe! The house stood up tremendously well, I imagined you were about to be flooded from the lake! Hope the roof gets sorted ASAP. That choccy stash had me laughing. Love Maxine s chilled out tone whilst lounging on the settee, "yea, it's going to be 24 inches of rain now.." I wd have been running round hysterically with a large whiskey in hand. Great vlog guys keeping us all informed thru à very scary ordeal. I hope the folks on the coastal areas managed to evacuate.
The first time I heard the word "shingles" was when Shakin' Stevens sang "This Ol' House". Then my auntie got Shingles up her legs and it all got very confusing! Glad you didn't end up "over the rainbow with Dorothy". Be safe guys.
Your early, lol, I was sat waiting for 5 o’clock then you pop up … good video as always glad you stayed safe in that hurricane.. I’ve got a cat 5 (hurricane) in my house 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱lol
Like you and Max we were very fortunate too at our end of Kissimmee, never even lost power so we're thankful for that. Family escaped on the Monday as they were due to fly back home on the Thursday when the storm "hit". Hope you get the roof done soon. Take care.
Glad damage was minimal. Just want to say that the updates etc you posted during that period were much appreciated . We were riding it out at HGV Tuscany Villas ….. seems distant memory now .
Your an hour early with our winter clock change...thanx for the insight and detail regarding the hurricane. Hope your not too long in getting the roof fixed. You need some wd40 for the front door hinges....lol
@@ThemeParkBazza Bazza and Mrs Bazza I watch the lodge guys and you guys are on par with them as being loveable and funny but the lodge guys are a couple of goofballs at times lol.
Relieved to hear you came out fairly unscathed. Scary stuff - you have hurricanes, we have earthquakes and forrest fires. But I think I need to stock up on the chocolate in my grab and go bag. Have to say I watched the weather channel almost non stop as Ian approached and then hit land. Those meteorologists stand out in the worst weather. This time even Jim Cantore took shelter. Heartbreaking to see the devastation on the Gulf Coast.
We were in Annemarie island and we evacuated and flew home on the Tuesday they said everything after us was cancelled sad we missed last few days off our trip
Glad you're both safe after the hurricane. Hope you don't have too much damage to your roof. As you said it was just as well they hadn't put your new one up. It's incredible the damage hurricanes can do her? We were in the Florida Keys years ago after hurricane Andrew and we saw steel girders all twisted from the wind. Very frightening.
Glad all ok and not too much damage, hopefully insurance will pay towards a new roof which you were going to have to get anyway. We were in Orlando at the time staying at a villa, generally no damage to that as far as we were aware but we lost internet and cable TV for a few days, and were obviously stuck in for two days of our holiday, but could have been worse! I find it odd in a state that has this type of climate that power and broadband tv cables are on polls rather than under ground
Alright Bazza hope things are good with you & Mrs Bazza we were there as well for the hurricane as you know met you at Disney Springs Raglan Road a week before Hurricane Ian hit but technically it’s Hurricane John because Ian is Scottish for John(a bit of useless trivia) . Glad nothing serious happened we where at Vista Cay on Universal Boulevard and the damage was minimal we had my daughter’s birthday booked at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal on the Thursday and it got cancelled unfortunately but at the end of the day there’s more things to worry about . My friends flight back to the Manchester with TUI got delayed 48 hours so he ended up getting a wee bonus extended stay which he was delighted with 🤣
@@ThemeParkBazza it was an absolute nightmare every flight going out on the Thursday & Friday was cancelled which put pressure on all the flights going out after that . I flew from the new terminal with Icelandair on the Saturday not impressed with it mate not a lot of places opened and the ones that where it was like a queue for an execution 🤦🏼😬
They definitely opened Terminal C before it was ready. They finally kind of admitted that last week as most airlines delayed moving over because of the issues
@@ThemeParkBazza agree Baz it was nowhere near ready to take passengers the food choices were limited but once everything is opened it’ll be a cracking terminal very nice inside with loads of room but i don’t know how I’ll feel landing at Orlando and not seeing the big American flag as you come out of arrivals 😬
Despite going to Florida around 30 times, often in Hurricane season I have never been in one. Some bad storms yes, but not a hurricane. I can imagine it gets a bit stressful if you have a property but you are pretty well protected in Orlando. Why do they use such flimsy roof material in Florida, is it because of hurricanes ?
LOL at your survival rations. My earthquake / volcano / hurricane kit has the same plus some beef jerky, rum, and vodka. The last two are obviously for medicinal purposes! 😉
So glad you are both safe and well. The damage to your roof could have been a lot worst. Another great vlog guys. Stay safe and well.
Thanks , you will see the roof replacement in next Fridays vlog

Yes , I made some edits while we were in the UK and it confused the schedule a bit.
Hey bazza's I was listening to the emergency amateur radio web sdr and I was thinking of you both while I was listening.
Thank you for thinking of us
@@ThemeParkBazza Bazza and Mrs Bazza I watch the lodge guys and you guys are on par with them as being loveable and funny but the lodge guys are a couple of goofballs at times lol.
But they are lovely with it :-)
Glad to see you only had a bit of damage. Our friends at championsgate lost 9 lanai panels and had no power for 16 hours so not too severe
It was very zone specific, up near universal had a lot of flooding , depended the final track the storm took

Yes very sad for those on the Gulf Coast. At one point it was looking like Tampa was going the bear the brunt of it
We were in Yatch Club for the two days, we flew home on the Saturday
Not a bad place to have to hold up Wendy
We were in Annemarie island and we evacuated and flew home on the Tuesday they said everything after us was cancelled sad we missed last few days off our trip
Probably the best decision to evacuate, better to be on the safe side
So glad you both are ok. Hope you get everything sorted
Thank you Kerry

The problem is the high water table means if they dig down they hit water a couple of feet down making laying cables under ground difficult

There are only 3 roof choices in all the US , Shingle, tile and metal. I would guess 80% of the US have shingle roofs
Thank God the damage was minimal!
Yes indeed
Thankfully it looks like your home wasn’t too badly effected by Ian but it must have been a scary time.
Yep , but if you live in Florida then you have to expect them
@@ThemeParkBazza That’s true, I’ve been there for a couple of Tropical Storms & that was enough for me.

Ah glad ye where safe and sound hopefully ye can get back some money for the damage to the roof
We hope so
If I lived in Florida I would have Tesla Powerwalls so I wouldn't lose power during times like these. Happy your damage was minimal.
So would I Dan but the estimate was 70K for a solar roof and power wall. Outside my budget I am afraid

Can’t touch this !!
