This might be the first show to actually, legitimately have me unsure of who to root for, even after the ending. I lean toward the Empire only because under Kaiser Reinhard, things were actually pretty damn good. R.I.P. All those lost under the banners of the F.P.A. and the Empire.
I never could root for either of them. And there were stupid and malevolent characters on both sides. I was only hoping they would reconcile cause they were both brilliant tacticians and geniuses, those two working together would've united the galaxy and built a long lasting empire.
I have studied for hours while listening to this piece, like an Imperial scholar pondering the intricacies of government while his nation's army holds great fanfares outside his abode.
Even though its highly rated in mal, i feel weird recommending it to people. The animation style and number of episodes is kind of a turn off for many people but how do i tell them that this military history drama set in space is worth the watch? :(
