The only gripes that I have with the robot paint is the fact that his landing gear toes aren’t painted and his fo-cockpit parts aren’t the same translucent plastic. I usually enjoy the lack of paint in the studio series figures; the lack of paint helps remind me that this is a toy at heart and brings me back to first bayverse movie toys
So only TRUE G1 fans remember this. But imagine in the bumblebee movie, blitzwing fought optimus, but blitzwing gets caught in a trap, and optimus says “amazing, a boobie trap that actually catches boobies” that would’ve been an amazing reference
This is probably one of the best looking movie-based transformers I have ever seen. I want one for my desk to go beside my WFC Six-Gun and PoTP Rodimus Prime.
With the whole chest issue it helps A LOT by just pushing the wings in as hard as possible. They are very tight but push them in to the point you can't see the ones at all. As always dude another great review

shadowshinobi06 not a bad idea I did think of that of that at first but after doing a few Photoshop sketches on the toy I realise starscream needed a little more red and especially blue on the arms, legs and feet. Plus as much as I like to do a g1 blitzwing, I do want to keep him him the way he looked in the film, because the fight between him and Bumblebee is one my favourite fights in the whole movie.

Asked my friend from the toy store if they had blitzwing and showed her a picture. She said no but proceeded to send pictures of what they had. They were pictures of gundam toys. Bless her for trying her best.
I honestly think that they originally intended Blitzwing to be Starscream, but then decided “yeah we’ve used you too many times, let’s use Blitzwing instead!” And then didn’t feel like changing the design.
My figure also suffered floppy chest syndrome so I fixed it by adjusting the hinge that holds the wings just right and the tabs usually stop about half way in the ports but if you give it a extra push you’ll probably hear a little click and it’s secured, on my copy it’s a very tight locking point now
I love this figure. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by the Studio Series for one reason or another, but this guy really calls back to years past in terms of quality. Plastic feels a teeny bit thicker and stronger than the others in the line I've picked up (which I'll admit are fairly few) and the handfeel screams "Revenge of the Fallen" to me.

Still wonder why of all names they went with Blitzwing when this looks literally nothing like him. There's like a billion different obscure Seekers they could've gone with instead, since this clearly was meant to be Starscream but they changed their mind after it was already too late to change his design. With how accurate they got everything else he just stands out like a sore thumb.
my main complaint with this toy is the fact that the alternate mode is not a McDonald Douglas F-4 phantom II I don't know if Hasbro couldn't get the licensing for the aircraft but I still want a modern transforming McDonald Douglas F-4 phantom II.
My copy of Blitzy had the same issue with the chest not fully locking in, but I eventually realized that it's a weird thing with how the nosecone sits. For mine, I don't tab in the nosecone section all the way, and then once the head is properly situated and the back all collapses right, the chest/shoulders section holds together a lot better. It's not perfect, but after some finagling I've got it to stay enough that I don't have to hold it down when I more the arms. It's just one of those tolerance issues that can be worked around a little, but isn't completely perfect all the same.
I got him recently and he had a weird piece that stopped him from having his right wing perfectly flush. I did fix it but it's interesting to see factory error in person. And yes his chest is only tabbed into the wing section.

Emgo, If you slide his neck joint holding his head up above the chest area you can fix the backpack issue. The only problem is that his head sticks out further.
The alt mode.. I agree. I’m not going to pass it up because I display my figures in robot mode and not alt mode... but I still would have like for them to invest in engineering the ACTUAL jet mode and making it work with the super well done robot mode. I mean... if they are gonna give us half assed paint jobs.. they could atleast put more into engineering.
It's funny, not only did movie blitzwing look more like starscream than starscream, but he's also the only notable decepticon in the movie that he stars in that isn't a triple changer.
A lot of people seem to have your issue, in jet mode bring down the nose cone and take out his head, then tab his neck into the cone then they will both go back in place
Let's hope shockwave can find his remains in sector 7 in the sequel, to fuse him with a tank mode. In all triply changy glory.

I got this guy yesterday! He is pretty awesome. The one thing I don’t like is the nose cone doesn’t like to lock well in vehicle mode.

debate nothing yeah the head is the culprit. The tab is also a bit deformed, some plastic may need to be trimmed.

In jet mode, you can peg the hand cannon in the rear area. Pointing straight back:)
