I have no interest in paying full blown super car money for a (very good) sportscar experience, but the most frustrating thing about the MSRP bump is it will likely inflate the pricing on existing used GT3s. Just a few months back 991.2 GT3's with manuals could be found in the $160-175k range. Just looked now and there's not a single one available in the US for less than $185k, with most sitting at $200k+. Considering this is largely the same car as the .1, and still a similar experience to the 991s, Porsche basically just unilaterally decided this experience is worth $50k more than it was a year ago. Frustrating times to be an enthusiast...
I've been driving one with bolt on engine mods, tires, brakes, and stock suspension and it's pretty much the fastest thing at HPDE other than race cars on slicks with aero.
Feel the same with my C7 GrandSport. Brake pads/fluid and running with GT3’s except not on the straight where they pull on me. With a proper driver the GT3 is faster but it’s fun when my $50k Vette is eating them up in the corners.
What cracks me up is how the value of the track versions of these cars are diminished when they’ve been tracked, you know, used for their intended purpose. That tells me that many of the owners let the cars sit in their garages or drive them slow on the street. I guess it’s all about posing.
awesome but at 300k USD this is no longer a track car. It's a luxury piece and or collector car. GT3s were all over track days going back 10 or 15 years, now it feels like every track day there is less and less of newer gen GT3s due to fear of owners writing them off. Soon enough if prices continue escalating we will get to the same place as Ferrari. There are almost NO Ferraris at any given HPDE event.
(Before watching this video) Most of the reviews of these cars feature alot of subjective fluff about driving dynamics & feelings , and none breaking down the tech or changes justifying price increase. The last car was faster for alot less.

@@SparklingWalrus That’s about $190,000 today adjusted for inflation, which is brutal enough as it is. Tough time to be a car enthusiast for sure!
@@JAMA1998I think it has a lot to do with ADU absurdity, but there’s also deferring costs to the customers of meeting all those asinine regulations. The high compression 4L mill isn’t used in many other cars, relatively few units to spread those development costs around. If I had to guess, valvetrain development and testing with the new camshafts and subsequent construction changes took an immense investment, as Porsche would not want to risk another 991.1 snafu.

@evanescent0311 i ain't that good 🤣
I've been driving one with bolt on engine mods, tires, brakes, and stock suspension and it's pretty much the fastest thing at HPDE other than race cars on slicks with aero.
Feel the same with my C7 GrandSport. Brake pads/fluid and running with GT3’s except not on the straight where they pull on me. With a proper driver the GT3 is faster but it’s fun when my $50k Vette is eating them up in the corners.
By far the best video piece of this event, car reviews for adults.
We live in the golden era of everything distortions. Cheap stuff promulgated as expensive and valuable things trashed in the bin. Good luck!
Jack is hot lapping the car so fast he is over heating the tires on while on camera. What a professional! (no sarcasm)
I get such a kick out of Jack's laugh 😄
Another banger fellas! I wish you would have worn your Lederhosen for those hot laps
I love the intro very sophisticated Mark, but you really need to treat Jack a little bit better. Honestly, I think he could kick your ass.😂😂
So in other words keep the prefacelift. Got it
If you own one already i probably would. If you dont its a harder choice
What cracks me up is how the value of the track versions of these cars are diminished when they’ve been tracked, you know, used for their intended purpose. That tells me that many of the owners let the cars sit in their garages or drive them slow on the street. I guess it’s all about posing.
911 is a go-to enthusiast wannabe car in CA, to the extent of becoming a meme-car already
Always has been. There is nothing more valuable that the approval of strangers apparently
Mark in the rap video and boardroom is pure gold 😂😂
Why you delete the Lucid video?
We had to recut it. Long story 😂
awesome but at 300k USD this is no longer a track car.
Come to the Northeast.... plenty of GT3s at the track here
Honestly you guys have the best reviews! Holy shit
Mark in the Cuban Link. SICK👍🏾
(Before watching this video)
Most of the reviews of these cars feature alot of subjective fluff about driving dynamics & feelings , and none breaking down the tech or changes justifying price increase. The last car was faster for alot less.
The original MSRP in 2021 for the GT3 was like 161,000$
@@SparklingWalrusim not a 911 fanboy , but i also don't come here to critique, i kno making $$ is #1 , porsche fans forget 911s have the highest profit margin. Yet they still think Porsche spends more money and time on R&D lol
@@SparklingWalrus That’s about $190,000 today adjusted for inflation, which is brutal enough as it is. But I’m sure Porsche saw all the resellers charging $100K over for the previous generation and thought to themselves they might as well increase the price to $220,000 and capture some of the profits they felt they were leaving on the table.
@@WindyCity1992 they also nickel and dime options that should be standard. Like for example why are Bose speakers not standard? It’s ridiculous considering I can buy a Civic SI that comes with Bose speakers standard. And why the hell does the base Carrera not have a limited slip differential?
HNY Mark and Jack!! Looking forward to all your savagegeese new car review videos in 2025!!
I made a Porsch hat years ago and your sweater reminded me of that
Hey man, great video. I especially loved your final thoughts on ADMs. Wish you actually directed those questions to Mr Preuninger.
i will keep this in mind when im shopping for one for 20 years from now after i've divorced my wife and my children hate me, thanks guys
It's really unfortunate that just as the Geese Gentlemen get amazing access to these cars, they become almost completely inaccessible for everyone else.
There are companies that let people pay a few hundred dollars to drive a super car on a race track. Pretty good way to scratch that itch.
I love listening to Andy Preuninger. The man is an engineering and marketing genius who understands his audience perfectly. Hp may grab attention and sell cars, but do those owners who want the fastest and flashiest keep them long term? I'd be willing to bet that owners of GT3's buy them and hold them because the driving experience is so emotional, and that never gets old.
Being from Spain, it seems like the music for this video has been a result of Googling "Spanish songs". Happy to see Porsche do business in Valencia after the devastating floods a few months ago.
That last two minutes of pure track video is the closest most of us will ever come to driving a GT3. Turn up your speakers.
- Buy car for track day
- Can't insure it for the track
- ...........
It's the perfect car but the price jump is insane.
When are you guys getting the Spyder RS??
So many 911 vids. I am personally waiting for the 911 992.2578954488512266 GT5 version.😂
Great video, but the watching Jörg wheel the car around the track at the end... Thank you!
Maybe the 1st gt3 i don't care about
I dont think people undertand how expensive it is to shorten a bump stop.
Well, tell us. How expensive is it?
Love it guys😊
300k is absolutely diabolical
Yup its getting out of control.
Jack's "Porch" hoodie during the final thoughts...
😂 you like the porch in the crest
for those of you who can't afford this, you get the same experience if you wear lederhosen in a golf.
@Savagegeese, I do not believe the GT3 motor has ITBs, 2:21 mark in the video shows what appears to be the single main throttle body attached to the intake manifold. I believe you're referring to the intake manifold variable length runner valves. I could be wrong however, please let us know!
As a new and first time porsche owner that owns zero porsche swag, I have to know where to get that hoodie, lol.
Matt... Jakub... Jack & Mark... the Boys are all on EU Holiday together 😏
For the record: The Golden Era was 997.2.
Bravo…. what a episode
How different are the new bucket seats relative to those on the 992.1? Specifically comfort, ease of entry and exit, etc. I am 80 years old and orthopedically, no longer have a younger man’s body.
Thank you for your always superbly informative videos, tinged with a bit of humor.
We found them to be easier to get in and out of. It is certainly still a carbon bucket though designed to be rigid and hold you in. I found this iteration to be less fatiguing. But age is a factor, I would not be taking them if I didnt track the car.
Mark still dailies an S8. A man of the people.
Another video to fuel my rage at how expensive and unobtainable these cars are.
Cars are an expensive hobby, although I don't think this is an enthusiast car these days.
Wow, an MSRP hike plus dealer ADM's..."whooo's your Daddy?!! Porsche knows!
Well, it cost me 24 mins and 18 secs to watch this informative video. Thanks Savagegeese!
Businessman Mark is awesome.
you know you’re getting after it when you’re giving it some counter steer under braking!
