This is the perfect song for them!!! I think it's pretty clear that Ryan was the best version of himself when he was with Taylor. Marissa was never the girl for him. Uggg! I wish there was a longer s4 or a 5s so we could have had more time in the post-Marissa world of The O.C.
I feel the same way. So I keep watching season 4 over and over again and reading fanfiction. I even made a Sims Family LOL
People don't understand that Marisa and Ryan were each other's first teenage love, but they weren't soulmates, in fact they always broke up for bullshit or marissa's bad attitude... Taylor Is the right Person for him, she's smart, funny and makes Ryan a Better man, it's and healthy and mature relationship.

A lot of comparisons get drawn between Marissa and Taylor. But this is the thing: Taylor didn't replace Marissa. She far surpassed her.
Ryan won Marissa's heart with his fists. He was the knight that came to her rescue and the shield that protected her from danger. But after a while, that shield became a burden. Marissa became a chain that held him back. Marissa made Ryan into the person he is, but she didn't make him into the best person he could be.
