Okay, prepare yourself for an essay.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Marrisa was 100% Ryan's first love, but I honestly believe Taylor was his true love.
They had a real adult relationship, it was healthy and they loved each other. They brought out different aspects of each other's personality. I do believe if Marissa hadn't died, that he would have ended up with Taylor anyway. He only held onto Marissa for so long because he never got any closure with her dying!
Even the Cohen's realised how much better Taylor was for Ryan than anyone else. I mean I think Sandy and Kirsten were the biggest Raylor shippers. Also don't forgot in S1-3 that Summer and Seth actually didn't want Ryan and Marissa together.
All in all, if you're still reading this...you're amazing! And Taylor and Ryan really do belong together!

This is so beautiful. Taylor was the best girl Ryan ever dated on the show. She made him smile and brought out a more care free side of him. Taylor was definitely his true love. I believe they ended up married in the future. Marissa was his first love, but the love they had became unhealthy with all the drama that Marissa ended up in. Season 4 was my favorite season of the show.
Josh Schwartz said yes to they ending up together… so fair to say they got married etc

I adore them as a match. They bring out the best in each other. Feels real and natural
She is the prettiest girl I saw in the series, I love Taylor is very passionate and very intense, with a noble heart and a lot of need to love. I think they make a perfect partner. Ryan and his fears could overcome many things next to Taylor. What never happened with Marissa.

even though people don't like the fourth season I would venture to say it was the best season of the o.c.
they had a much better story in a season than ryan/marissa and i didn't liked her very much she wasn't healthy. I only liked her with alex, i mean, i liked the idea of they two together bc marissa didn't trully liked her i thing, it was just somenthig different to her, an experience, a rebellion i would say

This was such a lovely throwback. I honestly remember next to nothing about the last season of this show 'cause it's been a literal decade since I watched it, but I do remember liking these two a lot. I remember mourning Marissa as one of the O.C. OG's but finding an authentic happiness blossom between these two that I loved. Lovely video
I literally just saw The OC, finished s4 last night and I fell in love with these two! They made me melt so many times! Such cuties. I LOVE your videos, I ship almost all the couples you vid and watching those masterpieces you keep uploading has been and continues to be an absolute JOY.

Awn, such an amazing video! I couldn't stand Marissa honestly. I liked her and Ryan on seasons 1 and 2, but by season 3 she was just a problematic selfish mess. She was dragging herself down and everyone else around with her. The OC got so heavy with drama (80% coming from Marissa) that I almost stopped watching it. I honestly believe she was toxic for Ryan. Season 4 was just so real, adult and fun. Taylor brought out the best on Ryan, not even during the first seasons when things were more peaceful I've seen him so happy. She was truly the one for him

Im back because my comment sounded shady but i think ryan and taylor were cute and so so good for each other and im glad he found her but i dont think he would’ve ever loved her like he loved Marissa and I think she deserves to be loved right. Their storyline shoulda started in season 3… maybe not romantic yet but at least friendship. I love Taylor and I loved them together and I’m so glad that I didn’t watch this show when it aired especially because I was in high school and not mature enough to realize that Taylor is great and that she made Ryan the happiest and Ryan’s relationship with Marissa was extremely toxic mostly because Marissa was toxic. Notice how the writers never had Ryan punch Taylor’s ex husband! It’s just amazing to see them together and I just finished the series for the first time this week in 2024 and now I’m rewatching season 4 for them specifically ❤
