What makes this song so hard for me is the kick pattern and the wierd and random fills that happen so often. Like the hi-hat fill here 2:45. IT’S SO RANDOM.
The cool thing about this is that they actually sampled Phil’s drums and then edited them together into the trip-hop pattern we hear on the album. Hence, how often, and seemingly randomly, we hear these fills. Great cover man.
Man, this song has a unique drum rhythm. It's like she's singing along with the lead singer... Extremely technical and engaging! Congratulations on your performance...
I believe Phil Selway recorded different patterns and loops and Johnny Greenwood then arranged it all, and then Phil learned it bar-for-bar for live shows. Pretty cool!
Bravo, a real joy to watch. It's a bit like a funk beat played in a pop/rock manner. Love it. Love all phil selway drums parts. Could you do a myxomatosis cover ? Would be awesome.
Just want to tell that it`s gorgeous and I watch&listen this at least every week because it helps me to keep the harmony of mind. Personally don`t know why but that just looks so accurate/precise that I try to think is there anything in the world that is as precise and accurate as your beat (don`t know if this word is correct I`m bad at English) or rhythm... It`s my favourite song and you did it amazingly. And I like watching where different sounds are made, so that`s why it`s cool too. Well, thank you for all of this stuff. Really.
Tasty cover! Just like the recording, it was expressive and confident. In my personal opinion, I think the audio of the set itself was pretty good, plus it adds to the crisp, harsh sound of the song. Nicely done! PS: That was done on only one tom??
Hey I know I’m 6 years late but on the very opening fill are you starting on your left or right hand? And how many hits on the snare is there? I’m trying to learn this song but can’t figure out the opening fill
Could use any number of stickings but I'm starting on the left hand since it starts on the 'ah' that makes more sense to me, being right handed. There are three hits on the snare, one on the rack, and one more on the snare.
this is a super underrated song, my favourite opening track to any album and probably in my top ten favourite songs of all time.
You have great tastes and we are definitely in agreement 🙂
agree
Most def.
That kick drum pattern is such a pain in the ass to master, along with the double snare. But you sir worked it out amazingly.
All just 16ths :-) Thanks so much!
It’s not too difficult
exactly!
It's not a super complicated beat to play, but it's very difficult to make it groove in my experience! OP did a great job!
@@Tocaracahey its been 4 years, where's your video?

One of the best openings to an album. This guy totally kicks ass.
Nailed it! ❤️🤘
You make this look so easy
That's how you know he is a natural and not just well practiced.

My favorite Radiohead song and favorite drum track. Great cover.

This is so beautiful and soothing
Being a drummer myself, I totally transition to another universe playing such groovy beats from Radiohead
Thanks Rafid, I can totally relate to you there
Best album ever
Hard to disagree. Definitely best from the 1990s. But I’m a Beatles fan.
I LOVE Airbag. Like, words cannot conceptualize the feeling I get when I listen to it. All I know is that my eyes are leaking.
До сих пор лучший кавер на Airbag.
Laser precision! This is fantastic. Great work dude
thank you!

Absolutely amazing and so close to the original! I would love to see more Radiohead drum covers!

Thank you so much Franco 🙏

Thank you sir! Just a few tom hits in there. Pretty much all kick/snare/hats.
I thought the original record was compressed...I love it man
I'm sure there is some heavy duty compression there, but definitely a real drummer underneath it all! :-)
Great job dude

How do I️ make my snare sound as good as yours dude. It sounds fucking incredible!
You seriously should release a video about how you tune it I️ will use it for sure
Thanks so much! I didn't do much processing so a lot has to do with the drum itself I reckon (16.5" x 14" Ludwig Black Beauty)

8/8 is counted 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2
slower 4/4 with lots of 16ths

can you share drum chart (on drumscore.com it is missing) ?
Strange it is not there. I no longer have it. Maybe contact the site? Good luck!
Why this groove is so hard ?
Syncopation..
