Never saw this demo back then, but the music was on a CU Amiga coverdisk some years later, and that totally blew me away. Still one of my favourite mods.
Oh wow, re-discovering the old demos. RSI's Cebit 90 and this one were awesome. Used to listen to the music instead of pop music - old skool ! Those were the days ...
Part of my all time favorites :) Well done Scoopex! Those bob figures were boring as hell, come to think of it, but I watched this demo start to finish so many times! Lol!
Uncle tom was a fantastic musician.you can hear his influences in some dance music today.especially the string chords samples he always used in his modules if you know what i mean.and look what happened to jesper kyd? He went on to make music for hollywood films.mental!!!!
That is not true! lol.... without the graphics chips like the blitter/copper this demo wasn't possible to do. The blitter did all the linedrawing/pollygons, and most the the moving objects on the screen. And don't forget the copper who took care of all rasterbalks, mirror effects etc on the screen.
the first object was really ugly ! ;) but overall an impressive style for 1989 ... slayer was the king back than .. one of the best coders of his time! i think he had the first place in the eurocharts for ages ! cant forget mental hangover .. i think it was the first demo with stenciled vectors!
A classic indeed. Probably one of the first demos I watched when I got my Amiga around that time.
This music is standing out as not sounding as anything else, well produced and before protracker was the game. Very catchy.. oh those memories :)
RIP Reward. You'll be missed.
The atmosphere of amiga demos is wonderful as always. That beautiful starfield and the cozy kewl font usage with top notch chip music.

Memories of a teenager I was back then :) When we all wanted to become as famous like them :)

This one of the better demos that was relased 1989. Great music, Great code.
Fantastic!!!!
Brings back so many memories.
This was and still is a very exceptional piece of music. :)
Loved this demo, a true classic. :)

On very early 500, it was not possible. I had one of these myself (bought 1987) with Kick1.2
Imagine of there were a filter for the fonts of youtube comments to make them do that. We'd hang on every word. ;'D
1989 !
funny the sound is messed up, but it's kind of interesting :o)
Sound is fucked up in this video. My unofficial (or official) Scoopex RUclips-channel has a version with sound working properly.
Dude! With skills like these, you could basically remake Starfox for the Amiga! Or maybe SkyRoads... :)
Sc00peX ruled ! :D

anarchy, phenomena, melon design, silents, cryptoburners, quartex, sanity, rebels, razor1911, fairlight, trsi, shining, crionics, complex, alpha flight :) etc. ;)
lol they kinda reproduce the sega afterburner 3d sprite engine
Why is the sound so corrupted? It should sound much better than this.
