My favourite part of this movie was when Elsa said to Anna, "You can't marry a man you just met". It was just so ironic seeing as that's basically the plot of every other Disney princess film
Not necessarily true given how much time they got to know each other. The case could be said for Snow White and Cinderella, but Ariel got three days to know Eric and Belle and Beast had like, what? Three months.
I loved that line! I really liked the fact this film wasn't a romantic love focused film. I felt that the line you mentioned hit more because there was no wedding in the film specifically. I also liked that about Pocahontas and Mulan, there was no assumption that getting married was the end the their story because they are now their man's property and thus the story becomes his, as may have been implied in the past. That being said... I like Tangled more than Frozen, I love Mandy Moore's voice!
That line was so deliciously ironic it’s kind of irritating that it was put in the movie…because it’s such a seriously over exaggerated trope, hearing a logical response of irritation from one of the leading characters was predictable and shocking at the same time… The first time around of course! It’s definitely one of the things that made this movie stand out
@@puterboy2 no Ariel fell in love with Eric instantly, the Seawitch gave her three days to make him fall in love with her you do not sneak away from home betray your family and make an irreversible Trade signing a contract with a literal demon for someone you do not love her unconditionally or in her case… obsess over very unhealthily, she was definitely the worst Disney princess
I remember being super obsessed with frozen when it released. For four years I collected all the merchandise I could find, including pencil cases, pajamas, mugs and headphones. When Frozen 2 came out I had already somewhat outgrown it but I still vividly remember my guy best friend saying him and his friends went and watched it on the same day it premiered in the cinema because they had enjoyed the original THAT much.
I am so glad you made this video I get that people are entitled to opinions and I completely understand that people will get cranky over song that play on repeat. But, honestly the hate toward Frozen has become so out of control that it's more of a trend and you have to dislike it because everybody else dislikes it too. But I love the movie, the soundtrack got me through middle school, the characters have depth and are relatable ( Elsa is my personal favorite character), it's focused is the love of family and the comedy always makes me laugh.
I remember liking the movie when I first watched it, before it started really getting oversaturated, but I don't think it's something I've connected with in the long run. I think I realized that while it's story was revolutionary for Disney's other princess films, it felt like a corporate response to changing political and social opinions. Like even as a person with a sister who I love so much, the whole "it was sisterly love instead of hetero love that saved the day, aren't we so cool and progressive" felt like it was a response to people asking for more diversity in their female leads' stories rather than something made out of a genuine interest to do that.
For the record, my favorite Disney princess movie is The Princess and the Frog and my favorite overall Disney movie changes but I've been in love with Turning Red and Luca was super awesome, too.
I agree a lot in this movie came off as forced, but I still appreciate the relatability and emotional aspect of the movie. I just ignore all the lines they clearly want an applause on, like the can't marry a man you just met, Hans villain, sisterly love/not romantic, Elsa's girl boss moment...I just relate to Elsa's arc and empathize with Anna (she reminds me of my brother sorta) so I still love the movie
I admit I regret not seeing both Frozen 1 and 2 in theaters. At first the memes and heavy merchandise that followed drove me to the point of insanity. That was until my family told me to watch it. So I did rather reluctantly. Then the first opening minutes. And from then on, the themes, the traditions in Disney only for Frozen to follow and break those traditions too, to the amazing animation, soundtrack, and most of all, the characters and emotions. I never felt so similar to this world that was about two sisters trying to reconnect. It also made me see how much I had in common with the characters when it came to family issues. I tried after to resist, but I kept going back to watching it. And again it grew on me despite the minor flaws I found. And even though I was teased for liking Frozen while in my mid 20's, I found certain themes that helped me rise and grow into my own maturity to do better in life. No one knew how excited I was when Frozen 2 was announced and disappointed when I had to wait till 2019. But the wait, and the shorts were worth the wait. And despite not living up to the hype, I still found Frozen 2 to be as good as the first movie. Why? Because not only its music and change of scenery helped me see life in a new perspective, it was time to move on, and begin a new journey of self discovery and bring more positivity to our world, even in darker times like today. I, like two certain characters was trapped in isolation, and depression. But this Franchise has helped me rise to do the next right thing in life (no pun intended)

I feel the first Disney prince that actually cared about his girl’s friends and family was John Smith (please don’t hate me) as he jumped in front of a bullet he knew would kill him to save her dad’s life. Still it is a fantastic movie! And another opinion of mine is that Frozen 2 is fantastic! My goodness I fell in love with Frozen 2 when it came out! Elsa's emotional journey really hit home for me as I felt it completed the second part of her character arc. The question of why Elsa's and Anna's parents were horrible was answered. Anna's depression felt real and so relatable, and Kristof's story of taking care of Anna first and being there to support her unconditionally in the finale was healthy masculinity on display at its fullest! It was beautiful 😍. I don't think Frozen 2 was as good as Frozen 1 and it has a far number of flaws. But I still loved it all the same! Frozen is a great series!
I was in elementary when this movie came out now I’m 18 gonna graduate high school in about 2 months and I still sing the songs from time to time how time flies!
I love Frozen 2. I thought it was amazing. When it first came out I was in the first grade. My friends and created games about it. My cousins and I created games. My nephew who is 4 loves frozen. I can’t wait for a frozen 3
I'm sooo tired of the "Belle not like other girls" angle. In normal context, a "not like other girls" character often dislikes more female pursuits to get along better with guys. Belle doesn't do that, she doesn't care a shit about Gaston, precisely the type of guy "Not like other girls" go crazy for.
What I gathered from this film's popularity was that audiences wanted more of the same again, but repackaged in a meta, self-conscious way that patted itself on the back for calling out cliches that Disney's critics had been doing already for decades. The film could have already been revolutionary by simply following the source material - girl saves male best friend, meets both helpful male and female characters along the way to do so.
Exactly. The source material was already revolutionary; I don’t understand why they veered so far from it. I read that when Soyuzmultfilm released The Snow Queen in the 1950s, Walt Disney wanted to adapt it for American audiences, but he thought the story was too “scary for kids” so it therefore wasn’t “marketable” 🙄
I love frozen so much this is my first ever watched Disney movie. I think I saw it in 2015 or 2016 when I was what 6, 7 maybe. And this is how I got properly introduced to Disney famous Walt Disney films!!!! This was and still is one of the most favorite Disney film for me and my 8 year old sister 🥰💖✨✨
Elsa is my all time favorite Disney character. Disney 2 was absolutely amazing too, yes it had some weird plot holes like how is froze water a different element but nonetheless it was a gorgeous movie with beautiful dresses, songs and overall amazing
There was never anything special about this movie to me🤣 however, I do understand the hype now, personally I liked the second movie a lot more because the themes are more serious and this songs somehow managed to be better? But pointing out the first movie is what got the second moving “street cred“ totally makes sense when you truly believe that the first movie was such a success because it was a love letter to past Disney! The second movie probably never would have been nearly as successful without the precepts of the first frozen 🍿 I always thought it was the animation and character designs specifically that raped in all the money to be honest because there was so much merchandise to be made - these characters that were not depicted as perfect were perfect because of the style of animation and design
I loved frozen but my school ruined it the non stopped sing let it go if we where watching a movie it Was frozen the movies good jest it got ruined for me also could you do a descendants video I just re-watch it It would be perfect for the Disney phase growing throw it's jest an idea tho good night/day/afternoon

Random thing but i really like Anna and Elsa (but more Anna) in frozen one but they were a big part of what the second movie got wrong (Elsa is... kinda better in some ways but i still like her more in the first movie)
Smarty is gonna kill me, I honestly ain't a big fan of Olaf, he isn't bad in the first movie but I personally didn't like him in the second, it is a lot more serious story and he ruined that story for me personally with his stuff, and I was so happy when he died in the second movie, his death was done excellently, spider man not feeling too good levels but for me personally was never his fan. dontkillmesmarty
I loved this when it came out, though it continued to fuel my desire for Disney to make movies where the protagonist has magical powers rather than it just the deuteragonist, supporting characters, or the villain.
I still haven't watched Frozen 2 but i do plan to the first Frozen movie i liked quite a bit i would probably give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 one disappointing thing i have to say about Frozen is that the Frozen world in Kingdom Hearts 3 didn't amount to much it felt to short like it didn't have enough time to show how cool the world would have been
For watching frozen 2, here's a tip: it might feel a bit rushed and out of place in the first watch but it does get much better during the second watch
Well, honestly I didn't really enjoy it. I loved the animation, when I first saw the movie I was in awe. But in the end it wasn't as good as I thought it could be. From the start I couldn't understand how horribly wrong and bad people were their parents, even tho it was said they loved them and didn't mean any harm to their daughters, they created a deep trauma in both of them, while Elsa visibly controled her powers, just Anna was (not her fault) stupid, as most of excited children would be. I could never get over the fact that future queen was basically shut off from the world, imo every sain person would know separation like this is really bad for your mentals. What I liked is this official break with "they met, they singed they lived happily ever after" scheme, but I felt in second part that Anna and Kristoff are a toxic couple. They were almost never alone, and if they were, action was focused on Anna caring only about Elsa, which is kinda understandable, but still I don't like it. And I'd love if they made more sense to this whole castle, it seemed weird for me and I understand, but I wish they had shown Elsa in that palace enjoying herself, her thoughts. It is quite funny that for whole movie except for Let it go I didn't feel like we knew what Elsa is thinking. And then the main villain thingy is not the best, I hated Olaf (it is just my opinion, I know a lot of people adore him and I see why). And the fact that whole city was just like yeah, nice, our Queen is back! We just wanted to execute her due to her witch weird powers, but she undoed everything and we love her! And oh my gosh, how she was hugging Anna and she just realised "being positive is a way" turned everything back and smiled... like what? Where did it even come from? She didn't have a thought like that ever for a second in her life that positive emotions are a way. It just popped in her head and she got immediately past her sorrow of basically killing her sister, without a doubt and made everything fine again in like 10 seconds. I know, show for children, they sometimes don't make sense... But for me a good animation, something that could be called a masterpiece is when it is easily diagestable for children, and has a deeper meaning that you understand with age.
Same. Tbh I felt the plot was dumbed down for kids, and the characters seem to be bland. Legit the first time I saw Frozen I was actually disappointed, like it didn’t wow or amaze me like Tangled did. Even Princess and the Frog imo is better than Frozen.
For me Frozen is really overrated compared to Tangled , which came out in the same time. I watched both at the cinema and one was really nice and entertaining and other had Elsa and Olaf in it, both character that were really meh for me and I did nit enjoyed watching them at all
Tangled came out in 2010, and unfortunately the main reason it didn’t do nearly as well is because it was a pretty rough year for animation, considering Disney stupidly released Toy Story 3 the same year. Frozen came out in 2013 and didn’t have ANY huge competition. Honestly if Tangled and Frozen swapped years, Frozen would’ve been completely crushed by the competition, and Tangled would be a lot more popular. I mean it is given Rapunzel and Flynn Rider I believe have become one of if not the most popular Disney couple, dethroning Ariel and Eric, Belle and Beast and Aladdin and Jasmine. It really sucks Tangled didn’t even get nominated for best animated feature that year either, and somehow Frozen was critically acclaimed and praised, but its probably the same morons who b*tched about historical inaccuracies in Pocahontas, forcing it to have the worst movie for a sequel
My favourite part of this movie was when Elsa said to Anna, "You can't marry a man you just met".

To be Honest I think the movie is good it’s just that we’ve watched it over and over
I love Frozen 2. I thought it was amazing. When it first came out I was in the first grade. My friends and created games about it. My cousins and I created games. My nephew who is 4 loves frozen. I can’t wait for a frozen 3
It is not really frozen's fault if people watched it over and over again to the point of obsession
Frozen could easily be called a modern classics especially whit its teak on the act of true love. In my personal opinion.
The thing I absolutely loved about Frozen was the fact that finally Ana wasn't saved because of romance. She was saved because of sisterly love
Can you do tangled next please
7:56 lmao i thought of something...
So close to 50k let’s go.
I loved frozen but my school ruined it the non stopped sing let it go if we where watching a movie it Was frozen the movies good jest it got ruined for me also could you do a descendants video I just re-watch it
It would be perfect for the Disney phase growing throw it's jest an idea tho good night/day/afternoon
The only reason I hate Frozen is that my little sisters used to watch it every. single. day. I am still able to mouth the words to that film.
What you used watch that movie every single das I remember I saw a comment that they watch Lion King everyday WHO on Earth watch an movie every day if I would watch Lion King everyday I get bored or annoyed ITS crazy
@@Simbala-bq5vy Tell that to my sisters. They would cry if we tried to wach something else.
@@daphneross2845 Omg that would be annoying da hell I remember when I watched With My nephews to watch an entire das the Same movie the Lion King 1/2 I was annoyed at the time but still Love IT but holy If youre Sisters are Older you will ne Just free I dont know man watching everyday the Same movie ITS Just horrible

I loved this when it came out, though it continued to fuel my desire for Disney to make movies where the protagonist has magical powers rather than it just the deuteragonist, supporting characters, or the villain.
I was 5 in reception when it came out
I only watched it because of Frozen II, because of the black beach.
It was good when it started, but then got blown out of proportion, i think.
7:56 😂😂😏
I still haven't watched Frozen 2 but i do plan to the first Frozen movie i liked quite a bit i would probably give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 one disappointing thing i have to say about Frozen is that the Frozen world in Kingdom Hearts 3 didn't amount to much it felt to short like it didn't have enough time to show how cool the world would have been
For watching frozen 2, here's a tip: it might feel a bit rushed and out of place in the first watch but it does get much better during the second watch
Hm, how very interesting.
7:46 💀💀 sorry this made me laugh

Yeah. I watched it but it wasn’t my cup of ice
Anna thought Elsa hated her

I don't get why people prefer encanto over this. I love this more due to the memories that connect to it and i damn relate to some characters
My name is Oscar heheheh the Oscars

I'M SORRY EVERYONE BUT I AM NOT A FAN OF FROZEN! I Prefer Tangled overall.
Frozen was mid af
Sorry but I sadly have to disagree
I think the movie is overrated plus I really think your assessment of the other Disney princesses is way off.
I preffer movies Like Zootopia Beauty and the beast and Lion King and the little Mermaid more than that
