- Authorities have completed the investigation into a Boulder police officer who tried to detain a black man cleaning trash around his home, and the police department has released all related body camera footage and reports.
That cops a frickin psycho. He was so pissed he muted his mic 😂😂
I’m pretty sure his senior officer told him to. His cop made a motion and you heard the sick bag say yeah? Then a second later muted it. He was probably motioning and mouthing to mute.
I wanna hear what the idiot officer said to try to back pedal his way at the end. He wanted to seem justified to the student so he wouldn't lose his job.

It was because he was disobeying and obstructing the officer which to other Officers on the road is a little concerning if it called out. It’s not about him cleaning at all, that’s awesome he’s doing that. The officer stopped him, wanted to verify if he lived there and that’s it, case and point. You don’t get to just walk away and say “I’m done talking with you officer! This is bullshit!” You can’t do it. We the American people rely on law enforcement for protecting our communities right? Wasn’t this officer doing just that? He was making sure that he lived at the residence and nothing sketchy was going on. That’s it. Now, I think the officer should have got the hint that this guy wasn’t a homeless loitering and picking up trash but when you act like a jerk and don’t let the officer do their job, this happens and it sucks for everyone. The fact that he muted the body cam is called tampering with evidence. These body cams should be made mandatory among all jurisdictions both federal state and provincial. The police unions should have no say as to when they are worn nor can they have a day in the design ie power buttons and mute buttons. In my opinion the police have gotten away with way too much and now it’s time we as citizens take back our rights and put the police back where they belong. Working for the citizens.

The fellow cop didn't tell him to write his name and dob down, but he did. I'm sure he went back to investagate his total past. That's exactly the reason people don't want to give cops their ID, if they haven't broken the law. They use that information to stalk and harass you if they felt you offended their delicate ego in any way! Pretty soon, your stopped for subjective traffic violations a couple times a week, by different friend thugs of theirs. Always record police and put cameras (front and rear facing) in your vehicle.
The moment they purposely “mute” their personal bodycam while on duty, they should be suspended for a minimum of a month with no pay. The second time, two months, third time ... fired.

D3V0N THE DUD3 - the cop asked the guy for ID because he wasn't sure he lived there. It was a genuine concern. No reason to start cursing him out and claiming his rights were being violated. Also, when a cop asks for ID, they want a driver's license, not some bullshit ID with no address. When the cop asked for a driver's license, he got cursed out by this professional victim, which roused further suspicion.
