    I got something similar in size and specs a couple years ago, and portable FHD projectors are ok, but I would like to start seeing portable Ultra Short Throw FHD laser projectors.
    I don't mind if they have to be bigger and cost more, but they would be worth it because not only would they still be portable but also don't require the spatial room of normal projectors require.
    Just plonk it on a table or floor close to a wall, auto/manual focus and that's it.
    You have a portable 50+ inch laser tv.
    +Sharper picture can be projected closer to a wall
    +Better speakers
    +No projector stand
    +No walking disrupting the screen
    advanced models may even support "touch" walls.

    I have an Appotronics A-1 720p laser projector, that looks amazingly similar to this remix 1080p projector. I'm surprised that the wemax doesn't mention 3D. My remote control for the Appotronics A-1 looks almost identical. I wonder if there's a hidden menu for 3D that can possibly be accessed using the Appotronics remote. Or a 3D will be included in the update. I have a collection of about 100 3D movies side by side that the Appotronics plays flawlessly in 720p. Sure hope this also plays 3D!

    there is only one issue with laser projectors... you cant replace the laser so if it dies you have to throw away the whole thing.
    Expensive models have a life expectancy of 25,000 hours or if it dies within the warranty period you will get a new one ... not sure about the cheaper versions

    Ah, portable projectors. The technology I only check up on every 3 years because the progress is so abysmal. It's getting there too slow to justify for anyone who has other hobbies than to be a consumer. If they can't hit the $400 price point direct from China with this level of performance yet they might as well give up.

    • @dirtyminerapparel
      @dirtyminerapparel 2 года назад

      It shouldn’t even be close to that price. I had an iPhone batter pack projector years ago that was attached to my iPhone. It was pretty cool for portability but the image was far from great.
      At the end of the day there is no reason these can’t be better and far cheaper. Look how much flatscreen TVs have come down. My 82” Samsung was cheaper than my 46” back in the day.

    I think that there is room to improve your projector reviews. At first, we would like to see side-by-side some video test (XIami, Lenovo etc...). Second, a noise value in dB at 30cm, 1mt, and 2mt far. As you know, fan noise is very important in a projector. Last, a screen size at 2 and 3 meters distance. BTW, THANK YOU!!!
