Got one a few days ago, this review was helpful in my decision. Thanks! Surprised how well this thing works even with a bit of ambient light in the room at 300 lumens. My old Optoma projector was 800 lumens, and didn't seem to do THAT much better with ambient light. If you just want a simple projector for occasional usage with media/games and want it to be very portable and able to run off a battery pack, it's a pretty good choice at barely over $100 on sale on the official site (though that sale seems to have ended). Planning to take it on family vacations to help entertain younger relatives and maybe some outdoor movies if I go camping. Also a nice backup entertainment option if the power goes out. I wouldn't pay anywhere near the retail price though - $250+ is too high when something like the Dice goes on sale for $350-$400.
I'm trying to decide between this and the AAXA P7 - the P7 is native 1080p of course, but about A$700 vs A$400 and also bigger. Brightness seems to be about the same. Was thinking Go is cheaper and probably 540p watching netflix on overseas trips is not a huge loss. Not sure if you've had tried the P7 before?
I want this one but the native 540p is way too low even the V70 looks way better in the resolution department. But colour-wise this is better than V70. What's your advice here Jayce?
@@jayceooi I want to use it for movies at nighy, daylight usage for my wife and kid. BTW, was your screen ALR screen? I was just hoping ALR screen can boost the brightness during daylight usage. Wemax Dice huh? 🤔
@@HD-vs2tn Movie is still okay even with 540p. Of course, it won't be as sharp as 1080p. My screen is normal white PVC screen. Not ALR. ALR does help during the day but viewing angle is limited...
Nice review! it would be great to see a comparison of this projector with the BW VT2. Since they have the same price range and the same portability proposal. I would like to know if the 150 Ansi lumens that the Wemax go has more than compensates for the internal battery, audio and android operating system that has the VT2.

Wemax is a joke, bought from their store and it was the first time I was asked to pay for postage because it is "too expensive". This company is a scam
