Ok. I know this is about fighting with yourself or something but idk why I automatically interpreted as being in a toxic relationship lol it reminded me of being in this relationship with this guy who was kind of toxic for me and kind of abusive but tried and stayed anyway bc he was my first person I ever loved like that.. I always thought everything was my fault so I was always, ALWAYS the one apologizing and trying to make everything right and ok again.. ngl that relationship fucking drained me mentally and physically, and I interpret the ending where she’s dancing as me finally leaving that relationship for my own well-being and I’m so glad I did bc I’m doing so much better, better than I actually thought I would. I’m happier, healthier in all ways, I quit drinking, I’m kinder to myself and idk I just feel so.... free? Anxiety and bad days here and there but not as bad as when I was in that relationship. I don’t know why I’m saying this here but thank you anyway if you read this far, I guess that’s the beauty of music, you can interpret it as anything you want based on your own life.. I hope whoever is going through something like this has the courage to leave, weather it be in a bad relationship, toxic friendship or whatever, take care of yourself first🖤✨

So kinda off topic but also not that off topic
Who showed me this song was my ex back in 2021. Although our relationship wasn't toxic per se, he and another friend of ours started to argue and the issue kinda spread around the group of friends we had (we were 6) and it coincided with the time we broke up.
Long story short, I left the relationship a bit ✨traumatized✨ and with my trusting issues worsen. Couldn't even listen to this song even if I really liked it back then.
Now more than 2 years later I could listen to it. Gave me a weird feeling on the first seconds but I did it 🎉 and yeah thank you for reading my TED Talk
