Squatting is a fundamental position but instead of just sitting in a position, think of the squat as a transitional movement. Just like we do in every day life, practice moving in and out of the squat in unique ways.

Can you show us how to properly squat? I keep hearing different techniques from people.

There's a million ways to squat. What matters is finding the right technique for you. We teach how to do that here: gmb.io/squat/

Once upon a time, the people who invented chairs and tables called themselves more 'civilized' than those who sat or squatted on the floor. And that's just one example of why broadly people from some cultures (psst Asia) are more flexible and can squat and sit on the floor easily.

Since we can't all just change the cultures we were born into, I guess it's a good thing we can still train our bodies to be more flexible anyway 🤣

My issue is that I can do wide legged squat- like the one in this video- with feet flat on the floor, no problem at all. But with feet together, I can't get down at all. How do I train that?!

It's difficult for many Asians too.
