The animation was directed by the great French Animator Fabrice O. Joubert, known for his work on "The Prince of Egypt", "Wallace & Gromit", "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", "Despicable Me" and "A Monster in Paris".
This french animated short film won numerous awards and was nominated at the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Animated Short Film in 2010

Those who live in poverty are likely to be more dependent on other people. They may also be more sensitive to their social environment. On the other hand, more affluent people may think that they can manage on their own and do not need other people.

Sorry but the movie was not about prejudices it was about criminals(the guy with the bill and the grandmother!
I feel like the business man could've just dine and dashed since he forgot his wallet. Then next time he goes there he could give them a big tip to make up for last time. Plus he should stop smoking. I'm probably over thinking too much about a fictional character but whatever. Anyway I like this story. The way it actually is makes it more interesting. The homeless man was asking for help but ended up being the one who helped someone else. The waiter could maybe get that light checked out. The officer should be more careful with his gun. Also the old lady is awesome.
