Home Free did a lot toward helping me keep my sanity during the pandemic/quarantine. I'm retired & live alone so I spent a lot of time in the house by myself. I spent a lot of time online & quickly got tired of a lot of the BS on Facebook so I started listening to stuff on RUclips. I had run across HF on RUclips a couple of years ago & thought they were really good. When I ran across them again early last year, I really fell down the rabbit hole. And then they started putting out new content in quarantine mode. They dropped a new video pretty much every other Friday. It really gave me something to look forward to when there wasn't much else to look forward to.

This was partly 'derailed' as they call the ones where their skit didn't go as planned, this one was only at the end. The way the usually did it was when Austin says, 'I won't rap anymore if you promise to never twerk ever again.' Tim pauses and says, 'you can rap.' Please do their cover of Mayday by CAM soon. You'll really love that one. On another note, I'm sure you noticed the different member. That's Chris Rupp, the beatboxer's brother and actually the founder of Home Free. He left with their blessing to pursue other interests and was succeeded by Adam Chance.

This is one my favorite HF numbers. Adam not only learned that dance, he learned the lyrics in Korean. There's another slightly different version of this live stage routine where Tim doesn't agree to the deal.
Check out their version of Meghan Trainor's All About that Bass. Tim runs up and down the octaves so easily. There's also a behind the scenes blooper reel for that where you'll see Rob have a different reaction to Tim's twerking.
Tim has several different versions of Storytime with Tim and he proves to be an excellent and very funny storyteller. There's the Westboro Baptist Church, Green Eggs and Ham (reading the Dr. Seuss tale), Potato (I LOVE this one!), and my favorite Watch Me (reading song lyrics).
I hope you get to seem them live. I spent 5 months after discovering the group saying I'd catch their next tour with the hopes there'd be a show nearer to where I live. Then, about 2 weeks ago I said to hell with that and bought a ticket for May of next year several hundred miles away, which necessitated airfare, motel, cab, and restaurant monies on top of cash for Home Free merchandise. It's nice that where I live we have a pretty good food bank so a lot of my grocery money can go for that Home Free hoodie I have my eye on. And the tee shirts. And the cap. And how about some promotional pictures...

This video showcases that Home Free are not just singers, but complete entertainers, where they also act and do skits, stand up comedy, and completely engage their audiences into a full and completely good time. They do not do concerts, as Tim has said in other videos, they do parties, and this is a party. They were cracking each other up too. I have been to 4 of their live stage performances with my wife and we had some of the best times at their shows.

Seeing them live (and I've seen them twice) is the best decision you'll ever make. Best two concerts I've ever seen. If you go, do the VIP Experience. I think you have to be a patron, but I went with a fellow Home Fry who purchased 2 of the VIP Experience.

Pentatonix are great but just like Tim is the ringleader for Home Free, Avi Kaplan was the soul for Pentatonix. Take a look at some of Avi's solo work; one is Change On the Rise. John Lennon's Imagine or Say Something would be good Pentatonix songs to start. Pentatonix is probably better technically but Home Free and VoicePlay are more relatable in my opinion. All three groups are great. It just comes down to personal preference. Hoist the Colors would be a good VoicePlay video to start. Home Free has worked with both Avi Kaplan, in Ring of Fire which you have seen and also with Geoff Castellucci of VoicePlay. There is a collaboration with VoicePlay and Home Free, Survivor, Zombies vs Hillbillies and Tim is also in VoicePlay's Just Sing which needs the captioning on when you watch that one. Tim, Geoff and Avi are known as the bass triad of a capella and some people call them the Dragon Slayers with their deep voices and huge ranges.

The top three a cappella groups working today (IMHO) are Home Free, Pentatonix, and VoicePlay. If you want to get the full trip, check out videos of the TV show, Sing Off. Pentatonix won season 3, Home Free won Season 4 (and VoicePlay was on in this season). Watch the videos, and make sure you get the ones with the judges' comments. At the end of season 4, the previous winner and that season's competitors met at the final show; Home Free, Pentatonix, and VoicePlay were all there.
I made the same faces you did when I first heard Home Free, and I totally agree with you: they are the BEST. I've subscribed.

Adam learned Korean for that song too. Storytime with Tim was not a planned skit, it's just Tim running his mouth about things he encountered on tour and most of it turns out to be really funny. It's just them being them.

One of the best story times is their experience being picketed by Westboro Baptist Church. I remember when this happened and Tim went out to the front of the venue and posted a selfie on his Instagram with Westboro behind him. He was thrilled! He knew he had some new material to work with. ruclips.net/video/pjtqL0Fcx7U/видео.html

If you're in Maine, I'm in southeastern Ontario, right on the St. Lawrence, directly across from Ogdensburg NY (I can actuallyvl *see* NY from my front porch). So you just tell me where and when, Saucey Dad... if it's within my relative vicinity, I'll be there! I saw the in Ottawa, ON in 2022 and THEY.WERE.PHENOMINAL!!!

you will defiantly enjoy PTX! a member run down. Kevin is the beatboxer, Kristin is the female, Mitch is the high guy, Scott is the tenor and depending on the era the bass will be either Avi (bearded) or Matt African american with buzz cut). also worth noting, PTX is a member of Sony music so you may run into copyright issues with there stuff, be prepared.

On one of those Tim talks Rupp actually ate a milk bone dog treat on stage 🤪😜 I love story time with Tim. The Westbrook Baptist church one is hilarious. Find the one where Austin forgot the words to Colder Weather and they all cracked up on stage 😂😂😂 if I find the link I’ll send to your Twitter

Yes, you'll find several concert videos that include "Story Time with Tim." I know you've already reacted to Brothers in Arms, but you would probably really enjoy How Great Thou Art, O' Holy Night, Helplessly Hoping and Amazing Grace (with Peter Hollens) no beatboxing in any of them. Misty Meadows is Tim and Peter Hollens. To hear Tim's high register you can listen to My Maria with Austin and Tim in Austin's backyard. Austin has numerous solo videos on youtube as wall as on his own channel. Tim does, too. Some of the humorous videos include Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, Cold Hard Cash, I Swear (spoof), All About the Bass (you'll also find the gag reel for this video, on youtube. The list goes on forever.

Great reaction. You say you really want to see them so let me tell you of another reactor, an aussie reactor who really wanted to see them live. He asked about a possibility of speaking to one of the group members for a possible interview for his you tube show and got the interview. Well this was such a great time for him. Then he got to go to a show and when he went to the part of the show where the guys meet the fans the person he had the chance to have the interview with knew him by name and this I think really made his night. If you look at patrol gaming hear him talk about it. These guys are great at what they do but they are also really nice guys and love and respect their fans.
Also Chris (Adam's brother) left the group and Adam Chance joined. He is called Chance because they had an Adam already. Other than that Tim is from Tx, Rob and Adam are from Minnesota, Chance is from Fl.. and Auston is from Ga.
Adam and Chris Rupp started the group in 2000

It actually eve was the other way around. Patrol Gaming went to a concert not quite 2 years ago where they already new his channel name and this year he had the chance to interview Austin (about 5 months ago). And this wasn't the only interview by a reactor...

I totally get your feelings about Home Free and how they make you happy and it is what you needed at this point in your life. I stumbled across them only this past March or so. I was in a pretty bad place due to personal life events, and was pretty depressed, and really didn't see a good way out. Then this happened. There is just something about their music and arrangement and perfect voices that hit me. It was the first time in two years that I truly felt happiness and joy. I have no idea why I'm sharing this with you, and anyone else who sees it, but wanted you to know that I really understand. I've went on to listen to Pentatonix, Voice Play and Voctave and a few others. They are all really good. But they don't move me the way HF does. Anyway, I'm happy for you that you've found them, and wish you bright blessings. Keep up the great content!

Love me some Home Free, but also love Pentatonix. Those that love both are called Pentafrys. ;) A good Pentatonix song to react to first is Hallelujah. Start with the video, but their live version is even better. They do not sing songs that they can't do live. For a flashback of the 90's, listen to their 90's Dance Medley. Talk about dancing in your seat! You will find yourself down another rabbit hole! You did Ring of Fire already featuring Pentatonix's former bassist Avi Kaplan (who is a good friend of Tim, and Tim helped him to go even lower in his range). He left the band a few years back to go solo, and now they have a new bassist named Matt Sallee, just so you don't get confused, which most reactors do. Listening to Pentatonix first is what led me to Home Free. You won't be sorry listening to them as well.
