Alot of people already gave tons of advice so I'll just tell you something too: when using the ricochet pistol, try hitting with the ricocheted shot and not the direct shot, it technically does more damage and it gives more style points (+its cool and crispy asf)
You are pretty good for a new player! Here's a few tips: -Don't rely on your shotgun too much, seriously. -Like everyone else says, please do learn to use the marksman, its really good for bosses like Gabe where he's fast and smaller. -Most of his ranged attacks can be parried. -Most of his moves are easily dodged! -He actually takes more damage to nails (cuz hes a holy dude and yknow, jesus.)
One of the best ways to make gabriel easier is pretty simple. Think of him as a rythm. When he attacks normally dash away since you cant parry it. Just keep dashing till he does his slam attack. To counter that attack you have to wait about 0.8 seconds or so till he slams down. The attack that follows up where he throws his swords have the same timing. In his enraged state(second phase) he does the slam attack twice and the throwing one once. This is great gameplay for a newcomer!(not like im a pro i barely scraped by when fighting minos prime) I just felt id share some things to help you in your journey.
Tips: -Since gabriel is one of the few enemies who are floating, get under him and shoot the sharpshooter, this will make the bullets go full ricochet on him ( you can use this at the beginning of the fight or when gabriel starts to taunt you ) -Learn how to use the marksman, the coins can help you to do some wild combinations with the railcannon -Learn how to parry (dont worry, you'll get use to it ) -use all your weapons, this is very useful since you can do some big damage with the Shotguns Swapping 🔥🗣 good video
A nice tip and also the challenge for this level: when gabriel does his lunge down attack at you, you can actually make him fall into the pit around you two
Oh and it seems you like the chainsaw, so tip: when you shoot it, just before it comes back, you can 'parry' it, and it will shoot back out with no cooldown
Oh, another thing, when he gets mad, and is in the break phase, you can still hit him, and cheese his hp, but after like 5 seconds it doesn't let you and he gets mad and fights you

@@Gabriel_Ultrakill damn, i did standard, im still tryna beat main lvls on brutal (mainly coz i dont play that much and i decided to go standard first then do the whole game all over ln brutal)
hey man if you wanna go through that first room faster i would recommend something called slam storage or ultra boosting (ultraboosting will take like half your health though) so yea just a quick tip :))
@@Sizzlesubs of course! Also, (I didn’t notice it so prove me wrong if I am lol) you have everything you need to get the Alt Pistol, so you should find some tutorials on that or find out yourself. Trust me, alt piercer is one of the greatest hit scan weapons ever made
Great job on beating Gabriel! Pointers tho: -learn to use the marksman (the coins unironically make the game easier) -many of gabriel's moves can be dodged by just sliding -dont be afraid to go near for a parry -attaching an attractor magnet to gabriel makes nailgun projectiles home into him (great with the overheat) -make use of your entire arsenal. thats about it

one more thing it seemed you only had one weapon mod per weapon which i suggest having all mods equiped

if you beat layer 7 i highly suggest making a new save file and playing violent. it should make you better at the game. good luck
