As for the house, the exact same thing happened to the Goonies house here in Oregon. The couple living there used to be really cool - but soon people were constantly invading their privacy. They'd wake up with drunk people partying on their porch, people breaking into their house, filming them inside their home, asking for tours, and unbelievable other happenings. It got to the point they had to put up signs, they finally wrapped the house in blue plastic so you couldn't take pictures and they call the cops on anyone that comes by. PLEASE respect private movie filming locations. Don't be the kind of rude people that cause us all to lose these places.
I totally get why homeowners would be cranky. The people that suggest that they should just be happy about people coming on to their property, throwing things at their home, or zooming into their homes are ridiculous. Now, someone standing across the street politely like Jacob did shouldn't be an issue.
Red chili is usually more matured, and is often prepped by smoking and roasting it. The green chili is less ripe, so it's spicier and has a strong taste, usually flame roasted. Getting a mix like you did is called "Christmas". Red or green is. NM way to judge character. Also, we take our chili very serious, and our green chili's heat can actually exceed jalapeños!
I have the same picture of the airship in a metal frame. It was a prize given out by Goodyear to salesman for most tires sold. My great grandfather won it because he owned a tire shop in Oklahoma. The frame is actually made with pieces of the air ship and was photographed by a famous female photographer at the time.
I love the Balloon Festival! The Sandia Mts.are beautiful! Dropping weights makes the balloon go UP, not DOWN, as the balloon is lighter! I did my first balloon flight in ALB- there are so many really experienced pilots there and in Santa Fe! Someday go to Africa and do a balloon flight over the Masai Mara to see the wildlife!
Out of curiosity, i was wondering if you ever thought of travelling to outside of the USA? , I love watching you travel to the weird and quirky places!
Hey Jacob! I loved that you did some of this BB tour, it was great to reminisce over! We did our own tour when we drove Route 66 a couple years ago. That was one of our favorite parts of the trip, we did all the stops you made and more - Hank's house, Crossroads Motel, Doghouse, Jesse's house, Better Call Saul's office, Chuck's house and even the restaurant that Jimmy eats at a few times in the first season of Saul.
love the balloon meuseum. i dont watch b. b. but loved going through the carwash. gets her clean, and cheapest roadside amusement ride (sort of) is bing in the car in a carwash!

Awesome video. That sign reminds me of my town's mall expansion. All new construction has to add a sidewalk if there wasn't one (residential or commercial). They did then put up gates at both ends so they don't need to maintain it or clear snow. Here it may just be for the look.

In September, Reno NV holds the great ballon race along with the best in the west rib cook off and the burning man festival. That is where you should go.
Must must must go back for Balloon Fiesta!!! We’ve gone every year for the last 6 years, except 2020 it was cancelled due to covid. It is amazing every year! Definitely have to see both a night glow and a morning mass ascension
Love the balloon museum, we have balloons here in Reno every September also... We need a museum though very cool. Love your road trip it's been great!!
The balloons go UP when they lose weight (drop sandbags), not down. The weight is what holds the balloons down to keep them from going too high. You come down by decreasing or cutting off the heat source that keeps the air inside the balloon hot. The hot air is what lifts the balloon, so the balloon comes down as the air cools. You drop weights to control how high and how quickly you ASCEND. [Edited to correct a typo.]
I'd honestly embrace it being the Breaking Bad house. To stop people from throwing pizzas on the roof, I'd have a permanent UV resistant faux pizza there and maybe hold tours at scheduled times with of course a small admission fee!
@@lainerepic5876 Now that's a good idea! Or even a prop pizza with real pizza afterwards! Embracing the film history of the house would've been better than shutting out everybody. But I get their right to privacy at the end of the day. Converting it into a Breaking Bad museum instead of listing it on the housing market might've been a smarter idea too...
It depends on the chili and when it was picked (for which is spicier) always ask before ordering lol. Green is less ripe while red is more ripe. I always get Christmas (both)
@@sparrowspearl882 no just depends on when it’s picked. Sometimes green can be hotter and sometimes red can. That’s why it’s good to always ask before ordering
25:00 The red is spicier because they use lots of Chile del arbol and less tomatoes. The green is more on the mild side because it has lots of green tomatoes and less chile. That’s why it has that green look.
If you get back to the Vegas strip, I'd love to see you check out the Fall of Atlantis in the Forum Shops, the M&M store, and the Bellagio Conservatory - all free. There is also a lake of dreams show at the wynn i think you would enjoy. Great videos!! Safe travel.

Next time you make it to Albuquerque, send me a DM, as a life long resident I like to think of myself as a local tour guide, these places are cool but it's only surface level, this wierd little city has so much to offer
