Molchat doma is more Joy Division + Kino (a great Soviet post punk band). If u want to listen to something Russian similar to The Cure, try listening to Peremotka (it's my favourite band from the eastern Europe among with Molchat Doma)

you can literally feel the emotion they put in the music, they sing/play and dance at the same time, vocalist (that I don't know the name sorry) makes so pure and realistic expressions while singing, its like for 2:19 minutes they're not three guys in a band, they're a solid and dense music that everyone likes
