  • In this video I will build the Pi1541 V4 (incl. 1581) - a modern disc drive replacement for the Commodores.
    This is the kit I used in the video. There are plenty different around. Make sure to get the Rev. 4 version.

    I wonder if the 1581 mode works with cp/m on the c128

      It should be supported if you use the CP/M System Disc from 1987 or later. Earlier versions don't support it.

    Can you explain how you made the games load faster? You have to have ez flash cartridge also?

      Hi! You can either use easyflash/kung-fu-flash etc. or any other fastload cartridge ... or try using a JiffyDos. If you have a kernel switcher that will work too.

      thanks for the reply. My pi1541 is already the cartridge so there is no place to put the ez flash :(

      @@CSIG1001 try using the jiffy dos rom in the pi1541 instead of the standard 1541 rom.

      I got that song from pond5. The artists name is mooqa. He is russian. The song is called Video Game - 8 Bit Adventures.
