reverse is so cheesey, but it was given to us as a tool so might as well use it =], they should have made bosses ignore its effects or maybe make more bosses use dispelling magic to counter it
What about the stages? If you leave the battle through the door you enter and not kill it when you come back below the map is the word stage and a num er. Each time you go in and out it reads stage1, 2, 3, and so on. What do these do? How do they affect the battle or what do they affect in general? Bear in mind im not playing zodiac age. Im playing the first release for ps12.
SaboteurXIII i kid you not it was with hell wyrm. And it read a stage number each time i left and came back. I was attemting to farm excaliburs since i noticed i could come in and out. And each time id enter the stage number went up. Does this chanve anything as far as the way of battle in anyway or is just an incrementing number for nothing?
In the original ff12 you can only get one excalbur in the game. Are you sure you are not thinking of trail mode? (which is only accessable the zodiac job system or the zodiac age)
SaboteurXIII in the original in the hall of ascetics you need to go clock work and open the door of hours to open the door of ascension "the words may be off. This is sochen cave. Hell wyrm. This is what im fighting. I decided to do the hunts in order. And this guy becomes available aftergoing to windmill 10 and giving the philosopher a scale to get age worn key became unlockable. Yeah same everything. But im vuessing no one has ever noticed this cuz no one ever leaves the battle cuz why would anyone have to. I have noticed when you leave and come back its life fully restores so this would make sense. But its the original ff12 where anyone of the characters can equip anything and everything and there is no job system. The moment you enter this battle you can steal from it. I did a wiki search on this guy and see it dropped Excaliburs. I wanted to farm them and i did! But i havent actually killed it. I have just been wasting time getting 3 of every weapon armor shield and everything equipable.
I will say this this is an easy fight yeah you will die once but that is to get a feel of how it works aside that he's really easy compared to other fights
How the fack are you doing 50k damage a hit? i mean i know hell wyrm is weak to holy and your using the Excalibur but how 50k damage per hit is ridiculous
Berserk, bravery and an excalbur and you got a monster basically. But now that you mention it that is nuts, since im not even Lv99. Would I be doing like 70K a hit?!
ClinkClank the bestest nopon the 2nd also, there is license that buff you at low health as well as the genji gloves, making her a complete white weak killing machine.
Have holy absorb items like the sages ring and white mask to survive holyja and keep HP high. For refrence I did it about LV56+ chraracters and still had a rough time.

like the judges they counter reverse by 'healing' you which kills you instead.

Yeah hell wyrm is more of test if you are ready for Yiazmat... trust me Yiazmat is MUCH harder! But hes been nurfed in the zodiac age.

You're thinking of yiazmat not hell wyrm. Basically it means how many times you've left the area to save, re stock items etc.

also why on earth did you put one of your characters on critical hp almost throughout the entire battle
Theres a hidden machinic in the game, when you are in critical HP you can combo more often which is why I was doing 7-9 hit combos.

This boss is more difficult than Ultima esper to fight with?
Yes he is. Reverse and Decoy helps to nerf the damage you take. But I found ultima hard due to fighting as early as possiable.
