Nice one!! But I think the essence of cloning website is to reduce stress(by editing). In my opinion, if you like the text and colour, the chrome extension you mentioned settles it. And most times you won’t put same image.
The problem to this is there is no code in the background its just an image an empty shell and if you run ads to it you will get your ad account shut down and cost you in the long run.

If you copied the website the way you are doing it you would be have to put in 10 times more hours than if you did it by manipulating the code directly especially if you tried to clone an e-commerce site..but you could do it your way but by far your way is definitely more time consuming
@@OlogboEmmanuel copy the source code of the website that you want then edit the source code. Replace all the images and ICO files with an editor that way you can edit multiple files at once. If you edit the site trying to edit the images directly you are going to spend a much longer time cloning the site. And yes you will have to know html, css, and possibly JavaScript to do it this way.
You can replicate the same process for mobile. It is okay not to use this method as there are other methods I have shared, but the responsiveness can be solved.
I need to find a tutorial where someone clones a real website. This website is extremely terrible, has nothing dynamic within and therefor a complete waste of time.
I'm not sure I got you however if there is a calculator feature on the website, you have to find a plugin that would do same and render it on the page, using the cost and paste method I explained.

Thats why the alt text for the images are important. That way search engines know what the images are about.

Cloning only give you access to the designs and not advance functionality that work on APIs
