In this video, I will show you guys how to clone a website from the internet, you will not just learn how to copy any website but also how to convert them to a WordPress theme.

Hello Daps. Thank you for your tutorial. I have a question. I only wanted to copy a site for the format only. I will use my own content. However, the site I used huge. How can I delete their personalizations such as assets, social media links, etc. So that before I upload it to my website I do not have issues with mix ups when viewers download or purchase things from my site?

Thanks for the great input. But I didn't quite understand. You use 2 software but only use one(HTTrack) to convert from html to wordpress. Do you let us choose which software to use or do we have to download both to convert it to wordpress? Thanks again.

I followed all the steps with no problems, but when I downloadet the Cyotek Webcopy and copy/pasted the URL of the website I wanted to copy, a yellow warning triangle shows up, but with no text. How do I get to the test folder in which I turn to a zip? I save everything in the my web sites folder in the C drive but I couldnt find the test folder like you showed. Thank you for the tutorial this is great work!
Anyone else have issues with httrack not downloading all files or any files really, for certain sites? And is there a way to get around this issue? I keep getting app errors when trying to download site.

That has been brought to my attention, I'm working on another platform that would do the same. The site is quite complex, until I'm able to find a way for anyone without tech skill can use it, I might not share the video yet.

You would have to buy a domain and a webhost. Ya can't clone domains.

What about the plugins and stuff there is a website its big i really like that i want to copy that and edit in my wordpress elementor if i will use this method I am not sure what to do with plugins or maybe if that website is created on any other software then how the functionalities and forms and other things will work on my wordpress without knowing what plugins to install or what they have installed on their site?

brother im getting an error : HTrack has detected that the current mirror is empty.If it was an update , the previous mirror has been restored.(Its not an update).Reason : the first pages either could not be found or a connection problem occured.Ensure that the website exists or check your proxy settings.

Please use a plugin to back up the site. I have several videos on that. Use updraft or duplicator plugin for this.
You can use this method too, but it's only complicating this if you have access to the site right now.

Not every website can be cloned really, the limitation is in the functionality and not design. When we clone, we clone the frontend and not backend.
For example, you can clone the design of an e-commerce website, but you cannot clone the e-commerce functionality at the backend that powers the frontend.
