I am a Wordpress Newby and have watched quite a few videos but did not quite get it to the extent that what I did worked out. I decided to watch your video just in case it would be any better than what I have watched to far and the great news is that it is much, much better. I have, for the past seven years being building websites with WebPlus in html and wanted to go up the ladder so that I can develop my skills. I was able to replicate what you were instructing on my other PC and I got the same results, albeit with a now 2022 Wordpress edition but the changed layout was quite easy to find. I am so pleased that I can now begin to put together my website which I have mapped out on paper so should be able to follow your great teaching. Just a big thankyou for standing out from the crowd.

Great tutorial just right for me. Dale speaks clearly at a reasonable speed (many others speak far too fast). Not too wordy - enough explanation for understanding but no rambling padding (another common weakness). He remembers small details a beginner needs to know. He covers the most important issues in a logical sequence. This tutorial uses the free version of Elementor; many if not most others use the pro version, but surely a beginner wants to experiment with the free version first then decide whether to shell out cash. He resists the temptation of overload -- clearly there is a lot more to say about websites but dumping the whole load of bricks is not helpful. This guide covers the basics for a functioning website -- exactly what I needed. My one criticism is that at the very beginning a little more explanation of the crucial nature of WP themes would be helpful. There is a little, but not enough. As a beginner I had not realised how all-controlling a theme is; it's not just decorative. Although Dale uses OceanWP, I started with Hello Elementor (I had read it was better). Well, I managed to complete my website following Dale but struggled when some options were not available or menus the same. I started from scratch again and it was much easier. Incidentally, having used both I would definitely suggest Ocean is better for a beginner, although Hello might be better for a pro. Anyway, top marks for this excellent tutorial: thank you Dale.

I'm almost 70 with very little computer knowledge and trying to build a website. I had seen many tutorial videos of WordPress website building including in Hindi. It seems I'll be able to build one with guidance from this video. Very simple methods are used.

Amazing tutorial! Thank you! I was wondering though, at 19:58 you go to Page attributes and set the Template to "Elementor Full Width". This option does not show up for me and I have Elementor installed. Are there any good resources out there for fixing this? Thanks again!

Try checking under template tab and then selecting Elementor Full Width.
Seems like they must have updated astra and moved it since the creation of this video. Hope this helps.

At 21:09 there's no option to choose general options anymore. The menu has side identity, colors, menus, widgets, homepage settings, additional CSS only.
I had this problem too. Didn't see general options. Does anyone know why?

are you using the same theme as in the tutorial? I had the same problem when I tried other themes , changing the theme did it for me, hope it helps

hey mate, that is because you are still in editor mode. the motion effects will only take place when you are viewing the site (you can preview your site by clicking the little eyeball at the bottom of the page
