When we lived up in the Bay during the 80s, we used to pick cherries for 29 cents a pound in Brentwood. My mom would freeze half the batch and I would enjoy them as a frozen treat over the summer months. I miss this family tradition.
When California was burning down and during 100° weather Mexicans were out there in the fields these people really think they're doing something special
100° and I keep saying inside myself how would those whites stand that temperature, turns out it was 100° Fahrenheit which equal to 37° Celsius and they wailing
I can pick cherries in SF Chinatown for $.99 per pound instead of driving so many hours and burning in 100+ degrees in the hot hot sun. I also heard its not cheap at all per pound at the farm. So- its a win-win for me. I am going to Chinatown tomorrow- just a 30 minute drive.
Lmao try working in Bakersfield 110 degrees picking 🍇 I did for the summer it made me a stronger woman 4 yrs later self employed made me appreciate work even more THANKFUL FOR MY NEW LIFE 🌻

Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know this was a thing..
For a man who lives in Daly City, no surprise that he thought the high 70's were hot.
It's gonna be 106° on Tuesday in central Cali🔥
How cute, doing it for fun! Try doing it for a living!! You'd really appreciate everything bite of food you take
The picking farms hold very happy memories of my family growing up getting so many peaches it's sad people are so ugly to claim and fight over trees.
This type of heat always makes me crave some water ice! Or Hawaiian ice whatever you west coasters eat - Gary.
Italian Ice
When you that big 70 feels like 500
Looks like a win win. City slickers get some exercise and farmers get helps.
