There is no "best corruption" it's just as high as possible without slowing your build down. If takes you 3x longer to do 2x more corruption, then it isn't worth it most likely
When you sell stuff you then need to use the gold to buy stuff from someone else, why not just go directly to the source and cut out those extra steps :)!

Im at the point of going to farm the Red rings, what do you say it's the best Corruption to farm it with prophecies? (i'm already at 1k corruption)
