Another excellent video John, very informative. Those two six stringers look great with a nice stain. After oiling they will really have the old barnwood aged look.

John, what is the height of that cigar box? And how thick are the two stacked blocks? I’m assuming the top block that’s routed for the neck pocket is 5/8 inch less the thickness of the lid but how thick is the lower block?
I can't remember offhand, the box is around 38mm overall, and the back block is around 16mm thick. You have to figure these out individually according to what box you are working with.
@@ChickenboneJohnjust got my kneck John of you I have two boxes .23 inch kneck box but I have a gold box I just got that beautiful.but it’s 12 inch long by 6, 9 wide .cld I get the kneck I ordered to work with this box .cheers ,soon be another order from Edinburgh Thnks great work ,

The Fender design is based on a neck which is installed parallel to the top of the guitar, so no back angle.
