Recently, Qatar won Asia Cup through talent because they clearly invested in world class facilities and their players and valued sports in their country.
Qatar has a lot of money but they invest it wisely and employ the best people to boost the value of their investment. They don't recklessly spend it.

All these investments will still be in the countries of interest and when the oil and gas ends up in 2050 .. These countries will start nationalization projects and Qatar will not be able to say a world.

Qatar builds its infrastructure using cheap, cheap Asian labour i.e. labor from Nepal, India, Pakistan, etc. Yet, they cannot build decent living accomodation for these labourers. These workers, are prevented from entering the big malls in Qatar, so that the rich folks don't feel uncomfortable. BEINsports charges so high fees, thats why Arabs living in the Middle East cannot watch the World Cup. They have to watch the World Cup from Israel tv for free.
Qatar is just mirror reflection of Saudi Arabia. Only difference, in Qatar, there are Churches, alcohol is permitted.
We all know these Arab countries are completely devoid of Human rights. That's why no Muslim refugees want to go there, and why they all want to resettle in Western countries if they cannot return to their home countries.
