    When you duck the whole mix (except vocals) when the snare hits, do you also have the actual snare in that ALL INSTRUMENT Bus? Or the snare is not in the ALL INSTRUMENT bus ?

    • @AdamRoxner
      @AdamRoxner  3 месяца назад +1

      Good question my boi! I've thought about this too and what's the best option, in this one I have the snare in the bus as well - the result in this case, to my ears at least, is that the snare sounds louder but doesn't peak away in volume - it's like an illusion that the snare is more massive than it is💃🪩

      @@AdamRoxner thanks for the feedback! I've seen afterwards my question that it's the whole mix that was modulating, so i figured out it need to be in the whole mix (obviously)!
      I've seen also Joey Sturgis doing the same thing as you did in the whole mix (with the snare in it).
      And you guys have the EXACT same relation reduction with the kick and snare compression: around 3db of snare compression and around 0.7 of reduction when the kick hits
      I think it can be a good reference knowing that relationship between the kick and snare reduction when you look at the whole bus!

    hey man, in the invasion mix, how does the track with reverb works ? What are the tracks that this track receives please ?

      Yo my dude! Do you mean my external reverb track or the reverb in the invasion plugin?

      @@AdamRoxner i'm talking about the track number 42 in your project :). How do you get this track ?

    • @AdamRoxner
      @AdamRoxner  3 месяца назад

      @@anasquazbary5147 track 42 is the Buster snare loaded in Kontakt, wich I've loaded on a software instrument track ☺️
      If you mean track 43 (wich is my snare reverb) that's a "Bus" wich gets information from my snare tracks. In the mixer i just press "Ctrl+T" to make it a track in the arrange window.
      Hope this helps, dunno if I got it completely right ☺️

    I'm using only 3 mics, 2 overheads and 1 bass mic. Can I still do this?

    • @AdamRoxner
      @AdamRoxner  Год назад +1

      Yo dude! See if you can trigger the snare drum (use a MIDI snare over your acoustic snare), it will help a bunch to achieve a fatter sound 👍 You can absolutely use some of the tricks in the video, but it's hard to apply many of them if you don't have a dedicated snare drum mic ☺️
