In my country we call this "puff puff" and we don't use piping bag😊. We simply wash our hands nicely, and also we mix the dough for a couple of minutes(with hands still). Can be accompanied with pepper, pap or beans. When you know you know. Nice job though 👏

    Totally recommend this!

We make this a lot over here, and we call this "gul-gule". They are made the exact same way you made it, for flavour, we use sugar and water mixture to give it taste, except we heat it up on stove and call it "sheera". Its crispy, and extremely tasty throughout, even though a bit soggy. Everyone likes to make it differently, though :)
Sheera is a bit syrupy and brown in colour, and is extremely simple. Only requires 1 cup of sugar and the same amount of water. Keep it on the stove and regularly stir it to prevent sticking, till it boils. Just drop these in it, and they are basically done :)

It's is called bolinho de chuva here in Brazil, which means rain little cake, I always wandered why it is called like that and the only thing that comes into my mind it's because when rains here, we do feel a little lazy to get out and buy some food, so this recipe is so simple that we almost always have the ingredients.

In Turkey we call these"lokma". But we don't use powdered sugar and water like this. We use water and sugar and boil them together. Then we bath the fried dough using that water-sugar mixture ("şerbet" in Turkish). It's usually served for free after someone dies. Their family pay for the "lokma" company for that and they serve it on street to people for free. It's kind of like a tradition in families after their loved ones passes away. Of course there are other reasons to eat it except death :)
