Bad conditions, broken fences and the too few castrations lead to the fact that many dogs in dogs run free in the streets of Romania and multiply unwanted puppies are directly killed or abandoned.
In 2013, the Romanian parliament decided that dogs that have not found a home after two weeks have not found a home, may be killed.
This solution-oriented documentary shows that killing is not an option and that there is a more humane and effective way to end the suffering of many dogs.
The interviews with Sirius Animal Rescue experts give us even deeper insight into this important topic.
"The Ways of the Strays" shows a long-term solution and gives a moving insight into the individual lives of the strays

Thank you!
I whish people from my country be more sensitive to this wonderfull souls.
Só seremos seres totalmente humanos quando a maioria se enternecer com as péssimas condições de vida dos animais na maioria dos países e agir para melhorá-las.
Sweden dont have a overbreeding/ stray dog problem and usually people here do not spray or neuter their dog. Most pet owner keep dogs intact just never breed from them. So I am so curious why that is possible in sweden but not in romania?
The tone is all off in your comment. The way you phrased this sounds so judgemental.
This did not started from having dogs as pets. It's much older problem and people have became used with stray dogs in comunist era. Nowadays it's true that are also many people that abandon many pets.
I think both laws and rasing awareness must be change so that no dog have to live as stray.
