    I think we should also build upon the worst areas as well. If we as a people give up on an area because of it being blighted, invaluable; you can bet your bottom dollar that this same area will most likely be purchased by a government funded corporation and they will do what we should have done(build upon that land) which will essentially add to the gentrification problem if we allow that area to be bought by the wrong hands.
