"I'm not gonna kiss a sleeping stranger, Nastya, that's really fucking creepy." Jonny Gets It. Jonny really truly Gets It. Violence? Hell yeah. Non-consensual kissing? Nastya, no, we can't _do_ that.
I kinda wonder if this exists in the world of The Magnus Archives. I hope it does. I hope the Archivist has canonically done this. I also hope Elias Knows and uses that knowledge to troll people with it, but that sounds more like a fanfiction thing than something that would happen in canon.
It is, in fact, a fanfiction thing, where the Mechs were Jon's college band . He usually tries to hide this desperately and the reactions are _always_ absolutely glorious
the fic "all of us were there" by ghoulemporium on ao3 has something similar,, it's a really good and fun chatfic, i highly suggest it
there's also a few fics where the Mechs come to the TMA earth via time travel and such shenanigans, sometimes with characters from some of their albums (such as Lyf)

I like how it starts with a bit of Rose Red
The dialogue in the later half of this song made me laugh for a full five minutes and I had to wait in my car until I could breathe again. Bravo. The whole album is great but I felt the need to let you know.

i cannot for the life of me remember the folk tune the melody is. But it is one of my favorites
Ivy J. It’s most well known as the hymn tune Picardy to the words ‘let all mortal flesh keep silence.’ I remember Jonny saying he’d been a chorister, so it makes sense he’d have heard it as the hymn first. It’s a cool tune though, 17th century at least
