I have made a version of this but added sauteed mushrooms and mustard seed powder to the sauce. Plus wilted in some fresh spinach leaves. It's very customizable.

I saw a bunch of videos of this recipe but I gotta say you explained it best, gonna try it out!
I just did and it turned out great! But I gotta say I never tried cooking with cajun before and even though I put A LOT, it didnt leave a strong taste and felt like just regular good chicken with a slightly different taste, maybe it's the brands fault but either way still a pretty good meal, thanks for the help man
Same thing for me, I like spicy and I hit that chicken hard but it wasn't very spicy. Making the dish again and am going to try more spice. Maybe some smoked paprika.
I used a Cajun Life seasoning the second time along with French Settlement andouille. Wow! turned out very good!
