its good until the dynamic anomalies blocks it from entrance, that rarely happens but ive seen it. Another good one on this level is the tower near the train station. no anomalies or enemies, and you can booby trap the stairs just in case.
Oh ok thanks for the heads up, I was thinking of making a more permanent base in that tower close to yanov station, sweet location, blood trap with some mines?

You can get in from the bottom. I only play ironman so im always too scared to try to get in from the top. At the spot where the stairs are missing you can just climb onto the railing and jump across. 👍
You are one hell of a hardcore, stalker. That place is the crossroad of a battlefield. Rock worshippers monolith, cursed sin cultists, unisig special forces, average bandit, loner and literally every single faction walk past there. Oh, I forgot to mention there also a bunch of deadly mutant also make their home there as well. Chance you will likely face from bloodsucker to pseudogiant. Max respect for you, comrade.
One of the reasons I like it so much, easy to find good gear of dead stalkers and can sell mutant meats to yanov station traders and good location to move around in the north to. I will admit night time with those bloodsuckers can be scary as hell but I like the horror aspect haha good hunting stalker😎

That's a cozy spot. I personally just shoot a message to Strelok every new gameplay to borrow his old hidout in Agroprom underground. He's always fine with it, pretty cool guy he is.

Every time i'm on Jupiter outskirts in Yanov train station, i come to Loki and salute to him (the character's face based on a developer that died in Ukraine)

0:53 you’re telling me i didn’t have to jump from the pipe onto that second floor from the top to get an artifact? I had so much trouble searching for the artifact in that building and even searched like the underground chemical waste just beside that factory in the river. P.s as someone who uses fast travel, i love to always pop up magically behind some kind of bandit or guy on the tower beside it. And then i would throw down several grenades into the building with tunnels to flush out any mutants making it their base. I had snorks, a whole pack of dozens of pesudodogs. A chimera. Some lurkers in that building with tunnels. Oh and those long hands guys which looks like snorks but all in all. I love the location cuz i love sniping. I sniped a bunch of bandits, monoliths, flesh, zombies and some blind dogs. Man i love that place
Lol yeah thats the short cut sometimes to find a hidden loot or artifact can be such a mission, I am happy I could help via my video lol sounds like you had quiet the fight with all those mutants over there, I took some rest there but woke early, only to find 5 bloodsuckers waiting for me outside at night, pretty scary experience must say haha love this game soumuch for all the cool things happening around you!

Very good, Small secret of me, Every run that after I got to the north I always set a hidden camp in one of the apartment's top floor in pripyat, Bad spot for base but very immersive.
I just put one up in south east jupiter, in the tall building next to the entry to pripyat
Sweet IL give that a go once I'm that side again, immersive is always good

The building is the location of a quest in Stalker: Call of Pripyat.
Oh wow never knew that, I only played sop back in the day and never got this far haha
The best location is the Vine Anomaly Secret Apartment in outskirts. I have some screenshots of my base from there fully built with all hideout furniture.

You can also put a tent there and there is a option in settings where you can put a backpack there so it feels more like a base 😂

Awesome! I'm more of a vine anomaly apartments in outskirts kind of man myself but this is definitely better located or the tiny limansk basement before the roadblock
Oh nice! Il have to check it those can be extra bases for myself then. Always good to have a few because in stalker you never know when you might just need them. If I play as a merc i usualy just set up upstraits in dark city in the corner where the mercs sleep.
You dont need secret base in jupiter unless you play as army, mono or usg. Even bandits can rest in Yanov.
I just like having mini bases everywhere, ads to the immersion for me personally😁
I have my base in the second floor of the house in Limansk that has the stairs down to the easter egg "time machine". You walk up the stairs outside that lead to the blocked off door and turn around and jump onto the ledge of the window and crouch to get in. Monolith soldiers just stand near the door for easy pickings lol
you can also quicksave inside which is handy

I am pretty new to Anomaly/GAMMA - Is there actually some type of base mechanic other than putting down a sleeping bag?
Yes you can put down a work bench and storage containers for any type of loot you can pick up. There are other things you can buy that can also complete your base set up like gun rack and so forth. one thing you can not do though is create like a base like you would in something like scum.
are there any good hideout spots for early game ( near rookie village) i have looked around but cant find many that dont have loads of enemy spawns/ are already owned by a faction.
When you reach the Northern farm, across the road there is the abandoned farm. The buidling on your left has a ladder you can climb to the top. I think that might make a okish base, would spawn mostly zombies, flesh and maybe now and then come cats or boars lol that is the only place i can think of that could make a semi ok base lol

My bases are only located in big cities starting from rostok up north to zaton. In zaton I have like 10 full 400kg metal boxes of loot xD

@@Fr3akazoid- yup,, although I didnt find myself a barett sniper rifle, some weapons are so rare I only have one of them, but most of good weapons I have like rd 939 I pick up whenever I see them, just like to play on 1 save :P

I'd love to make a base like this but I always end up in someones faction HQ instead since it's right by a shop and its 100% safe...
This base in located basically on Yanov stations dorrstep, that is why I made it there 😎 I alos do not like not being close to traders, my favourite place is in Dead City by the mercs base upstairs 😁
That walking noise is very annoying. We all need a safe house by 2030.
