This program is actually invaluable for any person not using keyboard and mouse. For example, with some more advanced settings, you can make *each* button and stick direction on the controller do *two* different things if you sacrifice a single button to be a modifier key. For example, for Skyrim with an 8BitDo Ultimate controller, I made it so the D-pad is 1 2 3 4 by default, but if I hold a modifier key (L2 in my case but it can be any button), those same buttons become 5 6 7 8. Likewise, the Select button opens the map (M), but if I hold the modifier key, it becomes F, which changes between first/third person camera. I'll buy the software eventually because I can't play with a controller without it, even though it is somewhat expensive in my currency.
This helped me very much with easy skipping music but I have one problem with it, is there an option to use volume up for just one application? In my example it's spotify. Because when I bind volume up/down it works, but for whole system. Thanks
Thanks for the info Mr Beard, come in useful one day no doubt, i especially like the SNES button box. Racing around in the latest hard core most realistic as possible sim, with direct drive feedback and motion collecting shells.
Noob question. Im waiting for my seq shifter and Handbreak and looking into this to make things easy. Does this mean you run the Sim controller settings as a keyboard and JoytoKey emulates it to your sim hardware? Or do you keep the Sim controller setting as a wheel etc?
Hey sorry not exactly sure what you mean by sim controller settings, you mean the device or in sim? Basically in JoyToKey you set a key to each controller function, so for your seq shifter you could set downshift as A for example, then in each game simply set A as downshift. You do not need to assign the controller itself, that would confuse things as it would register two inputs. All the game need to know is that you are using keyboard keys. Hope that makes sense!
@@AdamsSIMporium in AC "combine with keyboard" needs to be selected. That's partly where my confusion was. All good now . Looks like PC2 and AMS2 you can combine keyboard and buttons in the same in game setting easy enouh. This is great and will suit my needs

@@AdamsSIMporium Hi, I'm having the same problem on Forza Horizon 5, I'm using an old ps2 wheel and everytime I turn, the car goes either full left or full right instead of turning gradually as you'd expect. Many thanks if you have a solution.

I might have missed it in the video but I’m trying to set my handbreak and maybe shifting to my controller while using a wheel on games like forza but there is a delay when the game recognized any device change weather it’s keyboard or controller so binding to a key wouldn’t help
That's a tricky one, but you should be able to achieve it using Forza Emuwheel. It's very easy to set up and you would be able to have your wheel, pedals and a controller all together as if they are one device. It's what I use to play with my Simucube wheel, Heusinkveld pedals, BDH shifter, Aioliogs shifter, and USB SNES controller all together.

Hello I was wondering if you had figured out a way to assign up and down shifts to keyboard input in assetto corsa Project cars 2 is dead easy but assetto 😤 lol thanks
Yeah just assign whichever keys and on page where you have the little graph for brake input theres an option to tick combine with keyboard. All my sims including AC have Q and A and shifts, so all my rims have paddles recognised as Q and A
