Elden Ring is an excellent game. Would highly recommend it. There seem to be performance issues on PC, but you can probably lower the graphics settings enough for it to not be an issue. I have very good specs, and I still get the occasional freeze (during cutscenes, mostly, oddly enough.)
FAQ (some minor spoilers ahead):
Where do you find Erdtree Greatshield?
It drops from one of the dual Tree Sentinels in the Capital City Outskirts. You can lure out the southernmost one, I believe, and fight it one-on-one. I'm told you can get to this area without killing any bosses first.
Where do you find Fire's Deadly Sin?
It is on a corpse in a chair at the southeastern cliffs of Windmill Heights, but first, you need to find a painting at Fortified Manor, First Floor in west Lyendell.
How do you scale the damage?
I'm 90% certain it's only the upgrade level of the shield, not the Faith or Strength stats, so you can minmax very nicely.
I like how the self igniting spell cast loop transcends the boundaries of one game to another
well POE devs are taking things from elden ring, and ER devs..from POE ? it is really a loop xd

Eclipse shotel in the right hand + that spell youre using will give you an aoe death/blight effect that builds up super fast you also cant thru it

we've been invaded by this "build" a couple times during our first playthrough. safe to say it will definitely be fixed as it is absolutely broken in pvp. you're basically turtling behind one of the best greatshields of the game, blocking and dealing more damage per second than with the strongest hitting weapons in the game ^^
This is the same kind of bugged interaction currently plagueing PvP with Eclipse Shotel builds, this WILL get patched. That said, I am SO HAPPY tarnished aren't safe from SALUTATIONS!

2:50 cipher pata would probably be the best weapon for this run, it has 0 weight and only needs faith to wield and does pure holy damage
Jousis should be brought on board for all QA of all games to specifically look for infinite spell cast loops that break the game.

The talisman from Alexander quest that boosts skills
Any conditionnal increased attack damage, like damage on full life or while poisoned
And upgrading the shield like said
Frost stomp does also absurd damage, but it is more difficult to hit dragons or flying units with it

You can just go watch one of my twitch vods to confirm. I'll tell you right now, I sound like that for less than 50% of any given vod, because talking for several hours tires out the vocal fry, which is what gives the voice that quality most people seem to like. Also, in these videos, I'm monologuing like a supervillain instead of having a normal conversation, so the delivery is different.
But, for the most part, you can consider this to be my "real" voice. I'm not doing anything that my casual speaking voice wouldn't naturally do at some point.

I'm wondering if this would work with poison proccing with mushroom crown and Kindred of Rot's Exultation. I guess the parry spell would have to count as your attack damage, though if it does by chance, that should be 20% added damage.

saw a duelist of the great jar use this exact same cheese, if you got the idea from there, then i think that this synergy is intended
I could see it being intended. Miyazaki is an MTG nerd, and this has the feel of a combo from that game.
The duelists are actually the last 3 players to have completed it as it does not change if set to offline mode
Jousis i saw a video about ash of war: Determination or Royal knight resolve that if you active on right hand but use staff in left it wont take away dmg boost it gives. I wonder if it would work on this shield as well.
Note for new people watching this vid : this build has been patched
(I think now you can't activate the effect of the shield by self inflicting damage, it has to be an external source if I understand the patchnote correctly)

They fucking did it. They put a Game Journalist difficulty in the game.
Pretty much Mimic Tear Spirit Ashes. But thankfully Miyazaki still got his jollies by hiding Game Journalist Difficulty in a secret location that journalists would still have to deal with Radahn before getting it.
I've been finding bleed frost build ups do even more. Around 2-3K DPS when you include the bursts+ hits not even including the mimic hits

@@TheSpyro64 sorry just woke up. I am using Bloodhounds Fang. It's a dex curved great sword. It scales pretty well with dex at a B scaling. I have 65 dex and 25 intelligence. The bleed I think is 50 or 55. Behind caria manor is a Beatle guy pushing one of those balls. He drops the cast for freezing armament. That gives the frost build up. I can use that 5 times with my current FP. And now I have both frost and bleed build up. When you add in the mimic tear ashes... He also applies bleed and sometimes will enchant his weapon with frost. It can also use any item on your hot bar.
The Eclipse Shoitel version with the self ignite is infinitely more overpowered.

If it does, it's very slight. Upgrading the shield matters much more.

The real most broken thing in this vid is the mimic tear
Close, the most broken thing is this boss. I finished the game today, and there were only about 3-4 bosses I felt the need to use spirit ashes on. This was one of them, and it was still insane. In the end, I overwhelmed her with sheer damage, spamming the queen's black fire with the mimic tear. It was possibly even faster than this kill, though it took me a couple tries after I settled on the strategy and required some actual dodging.

My deadly combo was the flask that removed mp use and Comet azure with terra. I could kill the boss before final boss in exactly 5 seconds. Last boss not so much he moves too much and resists everything.
I did unlimited power flask into Meteorite of Astel as soon as the final boss had a moment where they didn't move too much and just chunked it from 75% to dead
@@VyriaDurav that shit never landed for me, but only putting azur on and using the slime forced him to spam it.
@@WaveRed0 I only really tried it on the final boss and it worked there, I imagine you need a boss with fairly large hit boxes
