Michael's solo in this is fantastic I love the whole solo and his sound is killer. I have loved his songs and guitar solos since I first heard him in 1974 with UFO almost 50 years and he's just as good now as he's ever been. He's my guitar God!
Agree. I like this album very much. Some songs remind me of other bands (to me, Drilled to Kill sounds a bit like Sabaton; After the Rain like Scorpions; Sail the Darkness like Rainbow, Devil's Daughter like Priest, and Sangria Morte perhaps of more recent UFO material) but I have no problem with that at all. Overall, this combines power with melodies and top-notch craft in a very MSG way. Such a good album can rarely be expected from a musician at a late stage of his career. Bravo!

This sounds like the quintessential mixture of Dio, Schenker ! Romero is a great singer and once again Blackmore helped another singer appear on the map to the world. What can one say about Schenker but Strangers in the Night THE BEST LIVE HARD ROCK ALBUM EVER RECORDED !! PERIOD !!

yeah. he's a workhorse & a great talent. he may be spread a bit thin though. i'm not impressed/convinced about his contribution to MSG which is a mid-pace heavy rock band at best. Doogie White is the best MSG fit overall.
Yeah, I was cruising on the MSG homepage and found him playing with Micheal Schenker. Last time I have seen RR was with CoreLeonie/Leo Leonie from Gotthard live in Siegburg/D and he/they were great. Before I noticed him with Ritchie Blackmore and Rainbow, of course. I hope he will find a good band that suits him and will keep him for a longer time. Rainbow, CoreLeoni and also Michael Schenker are doing projects mostly that last a short period of time... RR is a great singer and performer!

Well..I'm glad I checked MSG again. It's been for years now. I thought 2021 was musically terrible since Alexi Laiho died and Marco Hietala left Nightwish. This brings smile back to my face. Happy that Michael is still around. I just wonder what's the cat he's wearing.
What a track! Powerful and catchy, with an epic, old-school feel. (I didn´t know Ronnie Romero was collaborating with Michael!) If this song is anything to go by, I´ll buy the album the day it comes out.

That's a pretty tasty guitar lead. Like butter. He plays simple riffs with a real tech guy type of style.
Michael's solos, songwriting and tone aren't what they used to be in his 70's prime, but it's good to see him still rocking.
