As a frequent visitor (and these days, team member) of USH, the Simpsons ride is fun to go on whenever I manage to have the time. But as with Back to the Future, I'm really not going to miss it when it's gone (due to the ride system). I WILL miss hearing the music, which is why i made a playlist of every song that plays on a loop in Springfield, U.S.A.
Sounds like you enjoy your job, which is great!
@barfyman-wn3id Thanks! I certainly do. 🙂 And I try not to take it for granted no matter what.
How could one go about finding this playlist of yours??

hearing that folks will miss this ride really does show me how different theme park goers can be. Simpsons has always been a, oh man this feels like it belongs in the 90's kind of ride to me
Seriously! I’m a huge fan of the simpsons and theme parks in general, and have always felt they should have replaced/redone it when Springfield opened.
i’m gonna miss this ride. it is genuinely my favorite rides of all time
Your literally the only one that feels this way 😂😂
@@710moose8 it’s so perfect to me
@@gechotaris Well count the days that land is definitely toast in the next few years. Everyone hates it and that’s an understatement LMAO
@@710moose8 why do you hate it
@@gechotaris To start they removed a classic ride that was infinitely better. Then they proceeded to put zero effort into this verison. Ive never had an issue personally but the ride makes a huge percent of people motion sick. The awful fake popcorn smell they pump in. The fact the simpsons hasn’t been relevant in at least 20 years. And then they put a ton of trash carnival games in the area surrounding it and called it a land. It’s honestly pathetic. I can almost guarantee they are gonna get rid of it in the next five years I really think it would already be a Pokémon ride or something if universal wasn’t focused on the new park epic universe. The ride is always dead even if the park is insanely packed it’s notorious for how much hate it gets lmao
Also can’t forget the fact Disney owns the Simpsons now and I think the contract with universal is gonna be up soon.
I am honestly mad I never got to experience the universal of the 90s. I would have loved all the original rides. I feel cheated.
They were all great, with the exception of E.T. and Ghostbusters, those two were awful.
If only we had a time traveling DeLorean :(
i wish i wouldve gotten to experience kongfrontation, born too late :(
@detroitdiezel7856 ET is one of my favorite rides at universal Orlando how dare you
@@detroitdiezel7856 You take that back about ET, it's goated
Bring Back To The Future back!😮
most likely pokemon takes it place
@@ChouhouinNeko OMG, l hope not!😳
There is a chance of BTTF returning in some way.
I don't want to sound harsh, but I really believe that people mainly want BTTF back mostly because it's gone now. A screen simulator ride based on an IP that's inherently outdated due to its focus on time is gonna lose crowd interest extremely quickly. Pokémon has been popular and will continue to be popular, and from what the ride is rumored to be, there will at least be way more physical setpieces and props than The Simpsons.
I've been hearing Pokemon will replace that area. Of course Universal is notorious for staying tight lipped about their projects until right up to the end. Time will tell.
Gross.
@@detroitdiezel7856why?
It must have been controversial for Back to the Future to get replace with Minions in Japan. Sure, they love Minions, but they really really love Back to the Future.
To be honest with you the Simpsons ride is that one ride you ride once but never ride again. Anyways can’t wait to watch, sorry I wasn’t here because I was at a baseball game!
It really is one-and-done. I feel the same with Men In Black.
It was incredible when I was a kid, cool for nostalgia but it isn’t good anymore
@@auschwins1507There are more thrilling rides at the Hollywood park, but I would MUCH MUCH rather do the Simpsons than minion mayhem. Mainly because Simpsons ride is more thrilling and has more movement in its experience, it’s more nostalgic, and the preshows aren’t slow and unfunny like the minions. I’m pretty sure we all agree anyway that Simpsons is more worth your time than Minion Mayhem right?
What I hate is that Universal seems to not be maintaining this ride well, in the Hollywood park I’ve noticed that the paint of the building is fading and crumbling, and the floor is really disgusting to look at if you look down, it’s like purple but all the trash that falls on the floor seems to have blended in with it and now it’s more of a black purple. This seems to be a good hint that 2028 is the actual end of the road and Universal won’t renew the contract with Disney. What a shame, a nostalgic fun ride left abandoned practically.
@@CharBar07bruh what you mean? Men in Black is one of the most re ridable rides in the park because you can always improve your score!
@@graffiti.777 I think I hate the ride because I was in the Simpsons before and I hate spinning rides.
they absolutely should have either kept or updated Back to the Future the Ride because it was such a cool experience when I got to ride it back in 1994. I wanted to ride it a 2nd time but due to King Kong, Jaws, and ET being down for maintiance that day, Back the Future was swamped with a 2.5 hour wait and so I went to do other stuff.
have u been on kongfrontation? How was it like
2:26
They left a disposable coffee cup in the set next to the town hall there! :)
At the time I went to Universal, I had only ever seen the Treehouse of Horror episodes before I experienced Springfield.
Now I've watched all of the Golden and Silver eras of The Simpsons and I want to go back SO bad. Guess I needa plan my trip asap if it's gonna be shut down soon 😢
anyone who says Simpsons is their fave ride definitely never rode Back to the Future. a lot of us universal OG’s can agree that simpsons is just an oversized mall rollercoaster simulator.
bro this channel is ridiculously professional considering your sub count keep up the good work bro!
Another great video. You are quickly becoming my favorite theme park history channel (I follow a lot of them). Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
@@themeparklorei agree ❤😊
I just wonder if Disney has any plans for the Simpsons in their parks after Universal’s license runs out. I mean they have a lot of the 20th Century Studios’ catalog of IPs, but they choose to ignore them.
For example, Rio or Ice Age would fit perfectly in Animal Kingdom instead of Indiana Jones.
After the Scrat lawsuit and the complete flop of Buck Wild, Ice Age has become tantamount to Song of the South... and with it the rest of Blue Sky by proxy.

@@austinreed7343Huh? WTF are you talking about??
I doubt they’d use those two. They aren’t as popular as they used to be

Disney haven’t touched Ice Age after Buck Wild except for one single pin.
So glad I found your channel, love your videos, and would love to see some videos about Disney attractions too!!
I am a huge fan of this channel. I hope it grows 😊
I agree so far it really good anything with theme parks r kool 😊
I got a feeling Disney might extend the IP or work out a deal, if they can start using more marvel at Disneyworld.
Doh!! Eat my shorts!😂😊
I hope I visit the ride one last time
For anyone going to Universal for the first time, the Simpsons ride *always* has a minimum 20min wait time as there is a pretty lengthy pre-show in the line and in a room before the ride starts.
I grew up a huge Simpsons fan in the 90's but stopped caring about the show long before this ride went up so I've never went on it. I was able to ride BTTF twice in my life before it was shut down. It was just a way cooler premise for a ride then anything the Simpsons could offer. Since the show has no relevance in Japan it's funny how they just never bothered building it there and passed them over for another family of yellow creatures.
In my opinion I don't want The Simpsons Land and The Simpsons Ride being removed at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando Florida. Even though Disney owns The Simpsons I don't want The Simpsons Land being removed at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando Florida because they have my favorite ride called The Simpsons Land and they have my favorite restaurant called Krusty Burger. They also have my favorite food to eat there which is the famous Lard Lad Donut.
oh this channel is gonna be huge
I miss BTTF, but I won’t miss the Simpsons ride.
New sub here! Great content.
They should’ve never got rid of the back to the future ride
Wasn’t into it my only ride I think back in 2010
The Simpsons Ride was my favourite when I was younger , mostly Bcz of how much I loved the Simpsons, but now the ride really just makes me sick, gonna be sad to see Springfield go as it’s still one of my favourite parts of visiting Universal
I went on it when I was 14'
Hey my friend 😊❤

D’oh!
if they dont bring back the back to the future ride, A spongebob bikini bottom area would be amazing with a motion simulator ride. either that or make a little amblin pictures area and bring back back to the future, jaws and twister in a new way
I heard a rumor of a big expansion in Hollywood Studios which would involve removing Star Wars launch bay and relocating the cast member break room behind it. Maybe that can become Springfield once it leaves universal?
I have a universal trip for 8th grade (a natural thing when you live 3-4 hours away) & I have 3 goals
1. check out the new minion ride
2. finally ride the big 3 roller coasters
3. ride the simpsons ride one last time
There's only 1 functioning roller coaster at Universal Studios Florida right now. That's Rip, Ride, Rockit.
Great Video Dude And By The Way I’m Gonna Miss The Simpsons Ride When It Closes In 2028.
Why do you capitalize Every Single Word?
9:22 As fun as the Simpsons ride is, I personally wouldn’t say it still feels “fresh.” The projections look outdated, the paint is peeling, and the queue pales in comparison to those of Universal’s newer rides.
Man I forgot how much universal has to pay Disney now dang
Honestly a franchise like The Simpsons doesn’t suit a large scale ride system like this. I went on it once in Hollywood because I love The Simpsons. I hated it and thought it was so dumb
My two favorite rides at Universal Studios Orlando growing up were Kongfrontation and the Back to the Future: The Ride. I was devastated when I found out both rides were going to be shut down, but more so by the latter of the two. Kongfrontation was expensive to maintain, and its successor is worthy enough. But The Simpson’s Ride is the same ride as before just rethemed! Like what was the point? “Wanted a fresher IP” so they get an IP relatively the same age as Back to the Future?!?! To this day it’s still a massively popular brand and regarded as one of the best film trilogies of all time. The IP didn’t need replacing, the area needed its original IP expanded further throughout that area of the park! There was so much unlocked potential, but instead they replace it with an animated sitcom family that they don’t own the rights to?!?! Worst mistake on Universal’s Park and I look forward to those yellow eye sores getting the boot in 4 years! Back to the Future needs the Harry Potter treatment!
The more of this disrespect I see against the Simpsons, the more I’m glad bttf is gone🤷♂️
Also, one of the main appeals to bringing Simpsons was also the movie coming out at the time in 2007, which in itself did have a decent amount of hype around it to achieve $500 million+ at the box office. So it wasn’t a bad decision for Universal to bring Simpsons to the park considering its rising popularity again in the 2007-2008 years ever since its early seasons.
@@carrevenger31Agreed 👍
Very nice! can you do Transformers next?
We need pokemon that fully extends the land past fear factor live. Pokemon snap full dark ride.
"Pokémon snap"? What does that even mean?
The Simpsons Ride was a mistake I made: I took my family on it not realizing how intense it was, and it pretty much soured my young daughter on the whole park. Had I known it was the BttF ride reskinned, I would have skipped it. It was funny though.
I like the Simpson’s land (Springfield) but the ride I don’t really enjoy.
I loved the back to the future ride as a kid. I rode the Simpsons ride in 2019 and was disappointed by it. I’m okay with something else taking its space.
I the clock is ticking for the Simpsons both as a TV show and ride. The show not doing well in the rating last few years, before fox was sold, and some of the voice talent wanting to leave at one time or another. I think in a few years the series will finally end, but I'm seeing the ride close first.
Uh, does anyone recall Terminator the Ride (name?) at USH? I haven't been there in decades, but what replaced it?
RIP Universal Amphitheatre. 😡🤬
I really dislike the simpsons area because its just one motion simulator that doesnt even feel as immersive compared to Transformers and The Forbidden Journey. The ride vehicle is too “janky” and feels very old. I think Diagon Alley or another IP should replace its spot. Maybe more Jurassic world? A Hollywood velocicoaster if they can fit one
Should bring back Twister but different when the new movie comes out this Summer
No.
That used to be my favorite ride as a child. So unique and fun
honestly would not mind if it went away. hell even the ET ride so much better
NOT!
The closure of Simpsons won't bring back a ride I wish was still in service, but it will be a sort of justice for what was lost if it eventually suffers the same fate as the ride I actually cared about, only to be replaced by Pokémon, which is a concept that I actually can get behind if it is done correctly. It would be a truly poetic twist of fate, and I'm waiting with baited breath to see whether the rumors are true.
I think The Simpsons Ride and Springfield U.S.A. at Universal Studios Hollywood should be rethemed to a land based on SpongeBob SquarePants the land will have this the Ice cream shop will be Goofy Gober's, Luigi's Pizzeria will be the Pizza place from the SpongeBob gets Fired episode, Krusty Burger will be the Krusty Krab, Lard Lad Donuts will be be The Chum Bucket, Cletus's Chicken Shack will be the Sea Chicken restaurant from the episode were SpongeBob dresses up as a chicken, but the ride will be a retheme of The Simpsons the attraction takes place in Atlantis were it turns out that Plankton wants to destroy Atlantis with his giant Robot Machine so SpongeBob and His Friends help guests to stop Plankton you enter a Atlantis military vehicle and you help SpongeBob and Friends stop Plankton from destroying Atlantis and stop him from getting the Secret formula
Oh. Gawd no! 👎
I love the Simpsons, but hate this ride.
I hate how Disney own everything now.
I love BTTF and was devasted when it closed. The Simpsons ride just never lived up to its predecessor imo. I think it's time to find something more relevant to do with that area.
But wait until Disney declares bankruptcy
Disney will put it in animal kingdom
I would say Hollywood Studios would be better for it, maybe replace that stupid Muppets 3D
@@disneylover6408 nope everything will go into Animal Kingdom 😂

Good for you! Do you want a cookie now?
I will not miss this ride and the one stranger in my car either throwing up in my ride car or outside of it. This ride never fails to make me green in the face and smelling the spearmint powder they put on the puke waiting by the exit.
I won’t miss it. I loved the Back to the Future ride, but The Simpsons is of no interest to me and it makes me incredibly motion sick.
The Simpsons Ride needs to be moved to Disney parks with all the Universal Studios references replaced with Disney's.
Pokémon would fit perfectly to replace Simpsons. They wouldn't have to do much.
That's how pathetic Universal is: they don't make enough relevant blockbusters themselves and have had to rely on getting the IP rights to franchises from other film companies. Now, that Disney keeps buying up most of the competition, Universal is forced to theme rides to video games now instead.
It used to be that you went there to "Ride the movies!" Not anymore... Sad.
@@detroitdiezel7856 in that case, another worthy replacement would be the land of Birk since orlando is doing one, but depends what ride it is.
The entire land is absolute trash and I can’t wait till they turn it into Pokémon or something 😂😂
I much preferred back to the future the ride, not this garbage
Bro you sound totally disinterested. And that auto editing where it cuts off pauses, makes you sound obnoxious. This is unwatchable

Should’ve kept back to the future smh simpsons sucks
Didn’t really care for this ride or the area
It's okay to pause or allow time to breathe between sentences.
Not complaining about the Simpsons but this ride stinks. Its a jerky motion simulator that is poorly run with always a huge 3x wait over every ride in the park. If anything the Simpsons deserve a better ride that isn’t over 20 years old.
What was the point of this video? I watched this thinking you would have some insight into the future of the Simpsons ride and you don't say a single thing that isn't already widely known by fans of the ride or the Simpsons as a whole with all the footage lifted from other people's videos. And like any other half-assed Simpsons commentary videos I've ever seen you pronounced Matt Groening's name wrong.
bro the POINT is that it's theme park LORE. did you read the name of the channel?? also THE RIDE ISNT THERE ANYMORE HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO GET FOOTAGE. you are a joke.
@@nickisnotgreen The ride is still operating in both Florida and California. You were mistaken if you were under the impression that they both already closed. To date there have been no official announcements from Universal or Fox/Disney as to the fate of the ride. All we know for sure is that Universal's license with the Simpsons will end in 2028. Now, there have been some speculative articles and videos by fans on the internet which may or may not hold some weight on the future of the ride. This video wasn't even that. It was a big nothing sandwich. I figured that on a theme park related channel with nearly a thousand subscribers the author would have something of substance to say about the uncertain future of the ride, even if it was just rumors, but all it turned out to be was a history of the ride and there are already plenty of videos on the internet like that already. I love the Simpsons and this ride and I'll be very disappointed if it ever closes. This video was just click bait to Simpsons fans and it was a big groaner to hear nothing that I didn't already know.
TAKE A BREATH BETWEEN LINES.. IT'S LIKE LISTENING TO ONE LONG NEVER ENDING SENTENCE. HOW ANNOYING.
NO NEED TO BE RUDE
stop being rude
Though i understand why The Simpsons Ride may vanish from Universal parks (thanks a lot, Disney). It will not feel the same without it as The Simpson Ride is as iconic as Jurassic Park the Ride, Kongfrontation, The Revenge of the Mummy, Earthquake, E.T, Spider-Man, Dueling Dragons, and Back to the Future (ironically the ride it replaced). Even if it moves into a Disney park, it's going to be a lot harder to ride it because Disney parks have become a lot more expensive compared to most theme parks (especially compared to Universal parks). Still, regardless of its fate, the Simpson Ride will always be remembered as one of the best and most memorable attractions at Universal Theme Parks. 🍩📿🛹🎷🍼🛋📺
