The godfathers of heavy metal and grunge. The guitarist Leigh Stephens and my dad were best friends back then. And one night after dad and Leigh came home, I was asleep on the couch. And dad said this is your godfather. So the godfather of heavy metal and grunge is my actual godfather 😮

The Fathers of Heavy Metal. Extremely underrated and under produced, but brilliant Genius and ground breaking!!!!!

15:50 my god thats very heavy. They were absolutely ground breaking. Who was this heavy? I can hear some Who in there. Some Jimi. Both of them were pretty heavy. But this shit? This is really heavy.

This is just great. The last time I heard 'Feathers From Your Tree' was in 1968, I t was my first live show, I was 12. The show started with 'Sun Cycle'. My brother was manager.

I actually met Dickie after a show many years later. He was looking at my bike, I introduced myself, mentioned my brother Gut and he wanted to talk. He had a Cadillac, I knew alot about the type he had. I proposed any kind of issue with his car, I will take care of in exchange for a bass lesson. He said he had to go to Germany, as soon as he returns, we will get together regardless. He never returned from Germany.

@@hofthem From your earlier comment in this thread about your brother being their manager i wondered if it was Gut. Wow amazing that Gut is your brother.. Bet he could tell many stories about the band.

Used to be a drummer in a band in high school that played many Blue Cheer tunes. We’d do weekend gigs at Hillsdale college in Michigan…they freakin LOVED us for the BC tunes. First time any human offered me a joint!
