SHORT VLOG - Ski Trip to Mont-Tremblant, Quebec
During our stay in Mont Tremblant, I had been interested in exploring the ruins of Le Studio in nearby Morin Heights, but gave up after learning of its demise in 2021. However, if you are looking to get a good idea of how the studio appeared prior to being demolished, the video does a good job. - ruclips.net/video/yDVc7fOKkHQ/видео.htmlsi=XMpZ8fiSKbH4dfVE

@@chuchoggaming2132 Thank you so much!
Now that's proper snow. Looks like a lot of fun. We've had a bit here in the UK recently, but it melted away pretty quickly.
@thomassharmer7127 Thanks! It was a lot of fun, and the scenery was really nice. Hope you had a good holiday yourself.
I remember when I got this on vinyl, it was the day it was released. All my high school friends were there. We didn't know what to make of it, but it grew on us fast. Saw that tour, incredible.
I met Mr. Peterson. Smoked a joint with him. Bucket List!! Love him. Bless him.
True great me great master thank you I am hear thank you bro bro bro
Thank you great me bro bro bro
Me habría encantado oirlos en directo...
Interesting to listen to Paul's voice here. I detect a neatness i hadnt noticed before, almost as if he is a foreigner, possibly influenced by his travels to England..
Great vlog!
@@MichelleWesley-u4d thank you!
Where in the Sam Hill is his ride cymbal?
I saw them play a concert at Melodyland, a theater-in-the-round in conservative Orange County, in '68. For some reason they were all dressed in lots of black clothes, scowling, and looked fairly intimidating. They were second on the bill with light-hearted Brit acts before and after, so maybe they did it on purpose. They played OK but didn't go over too well with most of the audience of young girls. One fan did rush the stage - she was dressed as punk/Goth as they were - and Security escorted her out. I have to admit I wasn't that impressed, although I knew and liked some of their songs. I think it was just a case of wrong venue, wrong bill, and (maybe) internal friction - they broke up a couple of months later.
Great playing and nice 'British' stringy sound 🙂. Happy New Year!
@thomassharmer7127 Thanks and happy new year to you as well!
Just catching up, I thought you might find this interesting. Your comment on cultural sound preferences is insightful. They were quite rough-edged in their experimentation. Steve Howe was still developing as a player, but has also said he was surprised by the freedom to contribute his own ideas and sounds he found in Yes, compared to previous bands. The song lyrics are loosely inspired by a Dutch counter cultural movement that (among other things) left white painted bicycles all over Amsterdam for anyone to use as part of a movement to limit car use and reform city transport.
@thomassharmer7127 Thank you for the info!
1975 - Who played drums like the Professor....No one. 2015 - Who played drums like the Professor....No one.
Nice job! Ken Forsi was such an underrated and amazing bass player. The bass was what drew me to the band when I heard their first album many decades ago!
@@rsands9 Thanks! I agree, his bass lines for me contributed greatly to the uniqueness of Love’s debut.
Very good!
Thank you!
Does this guy even know what the song is about?
EXCELLENT!!!! Great young Steve's voice is still the best.
if one were to climb up Everest they would find the whole deep purple catalogue as they are peak rock
@@Jam-guy-s4v Good one!
Very interesting interpretation
@@chuchoggaming2132 Lol, in a good or bad way?
Good
@@chuchoggaming2132 Thanks, the idea for this video actually emerged from an idea/joke between my dad and I.
Fabulous. Saw them in Montreal for this album tour. Thank you!!
@@carll1962 No problem and thank you for watching!
SIZZLING!! Wow!!!!!
The best of the best. This song and album changed my life.....
Feels like this is a difficult one to sing live.
@@HikingUtah For sure, but then again I don’t think that any Rush song is.
SO thankful to be 75, a vocalist and having grown up in the Bay Area. Heard all the big, famous acts but these guys were incredible. Buddy Miles taught me so many licks!!! Thanks so much for sharing this.
@@brianscholz2165 No problem and thanks for watching!
Ladies and Gentlemen the 'WORLD'S GREATEST POWER TRIO' barre none! Rip Professor we love and miss you but Thank you! This was my first live show in Canada Sept 1979 with support band 'FM' and Martin Deller also did a drum solo. Incredible show like mind bogglingly good!👍 HOW did you remix this this is amazing!! Cheers mate! 👍
4:00 hell yeah! Real fright is my favorite song on that album
Makes sense, as I believe that song to be quite intricate musically.
My first concert was RUSH HEMISPHERES TOUR February 1st 1979 Columbus Ohio. 38 SPECIAL opened
5:12 other one of those bands (you should check out ) that have that feel is The Sonics
Yo mystery man you should check out “fields of sun” by Iron Butterfly
@@chuchoggaming2132 That’s a good one. I’ve heard it but thanks for the suggestion regardless!
Hell yeah, you should check out the 1967 live version
Hell yeah!1!1!1! Glad you liked it
@@chuchoggaming2132 Yeah this song was cool as heck. I started listening to some more songs from that same album, it’s quickly becoming one of my favourites. One song that particularly stands out to me is “Dropout Boogie.”
@@bands_uncovered8347yea that one, electricity and autumn child are the best (in my opinion)
Why wasn't Gypsy Plays His Drums on any of the studio albums? It seems like the Seeds were leaning towards being a Heavy Metal band. It's similar to early Black Sabbath, but was prior to Black Sabbath. Some people consider the Seeds the first Punk Rock band. Personally I don't care for Punk Rock much , but I like the Seeds, Mc 5 , the Stooges, Blue Cheer, and Amboy Dukes. I think that it must have influenced Heavy Metal as well as Punk Rock.
@@Hecatecrossways Surely they were trying to, as that song IS pretty heavy. The only other album which I believe that track to be included on is the Seeds “Live” album.
@bands_uncovered8347 Forest Outside Your Door also only appeared on that album, which might be the best song the Seeds have done. I am surprised that Pushing Too Hard was their biggest hit. A Thousand Shadows, and Forest Outside Your Door seemed like even catchier songs, and much more impressive musically
@@Hecatecrossways Good Choices. One of my favourites by them was always their “Out of the Question,” which I feel could also be described as early punk.
As the story goes, Hendrix was asked whats it like being the best guitarist in the world, he replied saying, "I dunno you'd better ssk Rory Gallagher!" ....Fact. Allegedly 😏 A statue of him is being erected in Belfast. Check out his annual festival in Ireland - Donegal. Im down for 2025!
I wonder where that les paul is today, must be out there somewhere. I hope his family still has it. You know he cherished it, that's why he was so good.
10:55 a George Harrison riff... Day Tripper, nice
Sounds like Terry Brown was right, this should have been played a Half Step lower. This is too high even for Geddy. Nice to hear they did not chop it up live.
I saw Simon and Garfunkel in San Diego about 30 years ago.As if they weren't of a show themselves, who else comes on stage in the middle of the concert? Their Idols,The Everly Brothers!! That was one of the best experiences that I had ever had ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Interesting how Garfunkel came in out of tune in the beginning of Homeward Bound....I guess he's human.
At a live event, you can do whatever you want, seeing as though it isn't going to affect Record Sales. 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
so fakey when there's no cords coming out of the guitars. And an electric guitar solo played on an acoustic guitar...oh well, that's what bands had to do back then.
Careful! You're in danger of getting pretty good on that thing 😂.
@@thomassharmer7127 Lol thanks!
❤❤❤❤Danke für die Performance und Danke fürs Senden ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂

@@MichelleWesley-u4d thank you!
I saw them on the hemispheres tour Hammersmith odeon. Incredible gig. The crowd went nuts. Awesome.
i read mb was fired bc parker and way or moog wasnt getting along w him.
My first thought was 'what a fascinating snapshot of a moment in time of hippie youth culture'. Obviously a very sensitive and thoughtful guy. Then I got drawn into the music with its blend of folk, blues, jazz and psychedelic rock elements. They're all good, but in the end it's the drummer that caught my attention most. Great find.
@@thomassharmer7127 Thanks! After the Forever Changes lineup of the group disbanded, Arthur Lee was essentially left with nothing. Therefore, he put together a new group, featuring George Suranovich on drums, who is awesome.
@@bands_uncovered8347 Unfortunately, that sort of thing happens a lot in the rock world. Maintaining band relationships is one of the hardest things ... along with being paid royalties! ;-)
