I really think Ezra Furman is going to end up like The Velvet Underground where he'll become critically acclaimed after his time. He's miles ahead of most alt-rock bands putting out music right now and isn't afraid to do something different.

trans people will most likely be too uncomfortable to correct you, especially if they don’t trust your reaction to criticism. like you repeatedly calling a trans person “it” will cause them to distrust you and know that asking for the right pronouns will be a difficult, almost pointless task.
