Love this setup! Also loved the accessories and tips on flash with this camera. May you have lots of enjoyment from your Leica M6! Happy New Year, Joan! Best wishes for 2024!
Yes a Leica is expensive but compared to other hobbies a lot of people have its a drop in the bucket for what you get out of it and its something you won't need to upgrade or replace in the near future.
I was thinking about that the other day while thinking about getting the GFX 100II. I had the chance to at least hold it in person a few weeks ago and thought it would be a nice "don't need another camera anymore" purchase for the kind of stuff I ultimately want to end up doing for the foreseeable future.
Just an observation....Although very nice quality, theoretically speaking a Leica camera is just a shutter. It's the Leica glass that creates the "aesthetic" in photography. And the film stock probably makes the biggest difference in "Look" Am I wrong? I do love leicas but it's more a "feeling" and style. Right?
4:50: Interesting, I recently got an M6 and my copy isn't affected by this problem with the meter. I'd be curious what the cause was for this problem, and if I should be worried about it so I can look into getting a repair or CLA. I love your setup I have a similar one for my M6 using a 28mm Minolta. Anyways Happy New Year.
Now hearing you say you want to have a M6 before you're 31 is making me fomo to get my M-A before I'm 31 too. I am currently rocking a M3 and M10, but I've always wanted a M-A for the more modern experience.
->more modern ->lacks a light meter and literally any modern features ??? Just messing with you man. Have you had your hands on any of Leica’s modern film cameras? If you haven’t, my personal opinion, play with one for a bit before buying it. You might end up being even more satisfied by your M3. I thought my MP was the best feeling camera I’ve ever used… all the way till I got my hands on a M2. If you don’t need the 28mm framelines, I’d say get a M2 or M4. There’s just something about the way those older Leica’s feel that the modern Leica’s don’t achieve. Probably the steel vs brass gears.

Thanks for always supporting!!
Congratulations on your 1-year anniversary with your Leica M6!
I have had a great long-term experience with my M6 and a 21/35/90mm lens kit.

I just dug out my old Zenit today and filled it with Dubble Cinema Film. Leica is out of reach for me, for now. Amazing nails! JOAN, you got this.

Hi Joan, is your website down?
Yes, revamping for the new year 🥴
I’m on Instagram though @joanmichel
You ONLY have to put it on BULB when you are done and will be putting the M6 away for a while, its NORMAL.
joan you also started vlogging
I didn't buy an M6 until I was 47, but I did buy a house before I was 30. Lol. Now that I think about it, I paid off my house before I bought the M6.
