I began watching tennis in the Bjorn Borg era, and enjoyed his athleticism. He and others raised the bar in their era. Rafa raised that bar even higher, to the point that generations to follow will be measured, for better or for worse, by his achievements. Truly a magnificent player!
All those years for Rafa winning tournaments especially Majors have been super special. Time and again I watch highlights of all his 22 Grand Slam victories and it feels surreal. What a gem of a personality and player Rafa has been. There will never be another Rafa ever.

Ojo, djokovic cambió su alimentación, y siempre hizo yoga y meditación, rafa no. Igual, los cuerpos no se eligen. Pero creo que rafa podría haber imitado un poco a djokovic en la alimentación (especial para su cuerpo) y en el yoga, para tener mucha mas elasticidad. Tal vez su carrera hubiera sido mas larga y su estilo de juego no hubiera cambiado tanto. Pero, ya nunca lo sabremos
I live in Spain. Never really a big fan of Rafa, the likes of Federer, Kyrgios, Brown, are the kind of players for whom i have a soft spot in my heart. However, the history Rafa wrote in RG, is other wordly. Makes me think that there must be something else between Rafa and this soil where so many have tried but few have reached the top. I know it may sound naive, but for me, Rafa dominating other players in RG, is like a torrero toying with a bull in an arena somewhere in Sevilla. I think that Rafa has sewn himself in RG folclore forever just like famous bull fighters have burned their names into Spanish tradition. That statue outside RG stadium is there for a reason.
You know you’re a legend when they erect a statue of you when you’re still alive. He’s the only person I know that this has been done for in all of tennis. An absolute legend.
