I mean this is BEAUTIFUL. This is probably the only production where he hands the sheets of music to her so that she can read and relate on a soulfully different level with him. A languge only two musical geniuses can decipher. It's like he finally found the companion with whom he can share his talents without being judged. Because all his life he could not show himself to the world although he was really talented.
I never cry to this song, but this version made me ball my eyes out. This phantom is probably my favourite since Crawford, his voice is just so passionate and honest.
Softly, deftly, music shall caress you Hear it, fear it, secretly possess you Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind This darkness which you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night2 Close your eyes, start a journey to a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before Close your eyes and let music set you free Only then can you belong to me
Hvor lenge går denne? Har ufattelig lyst til å se! Stor fan av boken, musikalen i London og filmen (samt musikken, selvsagt), men så var det dette med å finne tid til å fly bort før det er for seint...
ThePersianTenor to be fair, the *original* mask (in the book by Gaston Leroux) was a full faced mask, so complaining about a mirrored version of an already extremely doctored version, comes across as pretty misguided, if not hypocritical.
ThePersianTenor I’m sure they got the rights to make the musical so altering the mask was probably not a condition for the license. Had they been real bros, the mask would always have been full.
sazuke8991 i wonder if the French thought the same thing when the English decided to make an English speaking musical out of their originally French book. Just saying...

absolutely.
yeah it's such a massive upgrade from the usual "trying way too hard to make it sexy" approach

This shows so beautifully how Erik and Christine relate to one another through music.
She so beautiful
A very interesting interpretation

I was hoping this production would use a full mask. Always wanted to see a foreign production use a different mask

Nydelig❤️
Me personally, I prefer the mask on the other side of his face. It just feel off imo
Why the hell is the mask on the other side of the face

May I wonder if we’ll ever get a production of the ALW musical with a full mask? Or is that a violation?

Probably just switched it for the heck of it. Obviously this is a non replica reproduction.
@@FelizNAVIDad293 I'm sure Kristianstad production has almost full mask now
The only cool thing about this is the giant organ.
LET IT STAY ENGLISH, even if performed in Norway..sounds so incredibly bad...and yes i know Norwegian.
