It actually works very well and I wouldn't be hesitant about buying another one that being said it came with two bulbs which is a good thing because the one installed it it was burned out already when it came out of the box

Used this thing three times, water leaked into the bulb and it shorted out! Wouldn’t waste my money!

Good , short and sweet ! I wanted to watch , due it doesn't say in instruction , rather a plastic holder inside a sleeve has to be removed or not , no !!!

Used a little pure silicon grease on the o ring on the quartz tube for easy removal when disassembly the next time.

Just received mine, and the plastic pipe around the UV light is fixed, it cannot be unscrewed., If you are in the UK don't forget that the mains plug which came with it is for the US, so an adaptor is required.

What's with the tube? Where does the other end go? Instructions don't mention it and we have no bubbles..just water flow.

There wasn't one in mine! And the plastic cocvering was too firm that it couldn't be unscrewed!

OH NO! I just ordered one. Was it electric current? I have seen complaints about that but I do run a ground probe. Just want to use a few months to help me through the ugly diatoms phase.

Though I can’t prove it, I have two blind goldfish after using this thing. Water got into the bulb and it shorted out, most likely zapped the fish!
