Those are all good, and one I thought of that should be on that list is the waiter's trolley. A waiter's trolley is a tunnel with ropes and a tray that you can put food on and it leads to a room in the house. You can have more than one, and I'm pretty sure we all saw one of these in Cinderella.
Agreed. I said as much in my comment, but I'm glad to see I'm not alone in that thought. I gave quite a few examples of things that go up and down without travelling (moving would have been better).

Of course, a thermometer reading can give a visual representation of temperature, but, the body can detect a rise or drop in temperature, without the aid of a thermometer's measurement by the rise and fall of mercury.

For what comes up and down and never goes anywhere, I thought it could be many things, like the sun, or the temperature, but never thought about the stairs because we do up and down on them. I also got tricked with the woods and the 100-10. The rest of the answers came almost naturally after hearing the questions :D
For the newspaper, I would assume that you can fold it in half as many times as you want - you just need to unfold it each time, at least until it falls apart from all that folding. For things that can go up and down, there are many things, like the temperature, the stock market, or a web server

Given the way previous questions had gone I took it literally.
