Here, Lewis delves into the concept of petitionary prayer, or prayers requesting specific outcomes. He wrestles with the theological implications of asking God for particular favors, acknowledging the mystery surrounding how such prayers coincide with divine will. Lewis candidly shares his own struggles with this type of prayer, discussing its complexity and the often ambiguous results.
He explores whether God changes His mind in response to our prayers, a concept that poses significant theological challenges. Lewis suggests that petitionary prayer is less about changing God's mind and more about participating in God's eternal reality, where our prayers have already been accounted for in His plan. This leads to a deeper discussion on the nature of time and eternity, and how human understanding of causality and prayer's effectiveness is limited by temporal perspectives.

How does this address, "Does prayer change anything?" The tumbnail is misleading.

I’d have to read the writings of this man Mr. Lewis is speaking of to fully grasp this topic. I do feel the description is misleading as it isn’t the subject of the video at all.
