Im liking this,Uta's vocals fit just prefectly and I love the fact that she is not trying to sound like your conventional doom metal singer. I can hear the Blues,Soul and R & B influences that at the end of the day is where everything comes from. Hope they come to Finland soon! Cheers from the Mexican in Finland.

Whether or not we are bias, it's our ability to criticize the validity of our own opinions that makes our opinion important in the first place. Our opinions can't be objective, but they can be educated, and self acknowledging. Nothing is truly objective, I agree.

Re-read my comment. Doom metal is my favourite genre. I can't believe people down voted it because they misreed the comment. I fucking love Pallbearer, Ahab and Red Fang. And don't forget Electric Wizard, Agalloch and Disma.
When people say "I only like this genre." or "Generally, this genre sucks" they are generalizing an entire genre, which is fine and all, but it's often biased. Music should be view objectively when talking about it's integrity, and generalizing is something that ruins that.
It's a nice change of vocals compared to normal Doom singers. Give me almost a feeling of candlemas. But her vocals feel like a lounge singer. But it's a nice contrast with the music
While I agree with you in spirit, I don't believe that it's possible to look at music from a purely objective standpoint. By its very nature, our experience of music is going to be at least partially subjective.
haha, kids... Stoner/Doom is the richer genre in metal of nowadays. While metalcore is the shitty main stream, Stoner/Doom is giving us incredible bands like this, Red Fang, Ahab, Pallbearer, Royal Thunder, and so on. Go listen metalcore son
