Toronto is a fun place to visit, but I'd recommend going in the summer! We had a great time on the Toronto Islands, and I guess we'll have to consider trying out the swan boats next time lol. Thanks for watching :)
SO thrilled to get a new video guys! Glad its Friday and we can watch this tonight (also glad we are with Bell and not Rogers , so we are able to!) I havent been to the island in years but this video has made me want to take a visit soon!
Hi Matt! Well our phones were out all day yesterday with Rogers, but we have Videotron for internet in Montreal, so not a complete loss lol. The Toronto Islands are a fun place to go and relax for the day, and yet only minutes away from downtown. Thank you for watching and for your kind words :)
The Toronto skyline has changed drastically since the last time I was on the Islands: All those huge condo buildings along the water were just being built then. Thanks for yet another great video! We always look forward to the next one:)
We've noticed each time we return to Toronto that things seem to change quickly! On the other hand, the Eglinton Crosstown Subway just always seems to be in the same mess for over 10 years lol. Thanks for watching :)
Island ship journey and amazing park with peacocks family is amazing with a new look to me where l saw white peacock as a mother and colorful peacocks as as a child pea
Hi, my partner went there last weekend, and we never got past the beach at Harland’s Point.😇.We took our bicycles, so now that we have an idea that there’s tons to see, next time we will probably explore a little more. Thanks
What a great tour with beautiful sights! Love the tulip chairs for a little rest. Also loved the little boat ride to the waterfront, that looked like so much fun! Thanks for taking us along! .Debbie & Stijn
Hi Debbie and Stijn! The Toronto Islands are such a fun and relaxing place to visit, and yet they are only a 15 minute ferry ride from the busy downtown. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words :) (We will check out your channel as we'll be travelling to Italy in August)
@@TakeTimeToTravel Wonderful!! Where in Italy will you be visiting? Umbria is not to be missed! It's every bit as beautiful as Tuscany if not more but a lot less expensive. We would love to meet up with you if you are in our area, we love meeting other RUclipsrs! @@ouritaliandestiny7955 We are spending a week in Paris, then we will fly to Venice for 5 nights. After that we take the train to Rome for 5 nights...and then fly back to Montreal. Just a short holiday to help break up the summer. Thanks for the offer of help, and also to meet you. Hopefully we can cross paths in the future :)
Hi! My mom, my grandma and I spent yesterday afternoon watching your videos about Toronto (I'm planning to move there next year!) and I came here today just to thank you for this channel! We really felt like we were walking around the city with you guys, and it helps a lot that you tell how much everything costs. We'll definitely watch more videos! Thank you again! Wish you the best :)
Hi Natalie! We're so happy to hear that you found our videos useful. Toronto is a beautiful city, and there are lots of fun things to do. There are also lots of great restaurants and you can find foods from around the world. Thanks for another amazing video!! I’ve been taking in all your Toronto inspiration this summer so I’m definitely going to try Toronto Islands soon. I did my engagement photo shoot at the Toronto Music Garden - thanks to both of you! It was beautiful!!!
We're so glad the Toronto Music Garden worked out for you! The Toronto Islands are so beautiful and relaxing...and yet so close to downtown. A great place for a picnic on a nice summer day :)
Great video guys! I want to try Riveria Wards Island Kitchen. That looks amazing, especially the food. The islands are so special , we are lucky to have them here in Toronto. We always enjoy Hanlans beach , but it would be cold when you went 😂
We are so lucky to have such a huge waterfront park just a short boat ride away from downtown Toronto! The food was great at Riviera, and it's a beautiful patio with great views of the lake. Cheers :)
Probably one of the most peaceful and beautiful places to visit when coming to Toronto. Even without joining any activity, the island is very enjoyable to turn off the brain and vibe with nature. If u go in summer, this island has some of the most beautiful beaches compared to other ones nearby. I hope people make sure to clean after themselves tho. It even has one beach where u can swim naked! :D Other than that, grab some weed, friends or dog + cat and enjoy the view:)
It's so surprising that this beautiful calm oasis is only minutes away by boat from the hustle and bustle of the city! We love relaxing on the beaches on a nice hot summer day, on the Islands. Thank you so much for watching :)
To be honest, we really didn't notice if there were charging outlets on the island. It really is a wonderful place for a visit. Thank you for watching :)
There are about 15 islands that make up the Toronto Islands. The most popular one is Centre Island where you can find fountains, formal gardens, Centerville Amusement Park, a pier that extends into Lake Ontario, a sandy beach, picnic areas, Franklin's Children's Garden and many other attractions. We really loved walking around Ward's and Algonquin Islands to check out the many homes and cottages that are there. You can walk all over as there are bridges between the islands, but there are also bike rentals which might be easier to get around. Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it :)
There are no grocery stores on the Toronto Islands. The people who live there do their shopping on the mainland and bring it across on the ferry or by boat. Thanks for watching :)
We had a great time during our day trip to the Toronto Islands! We did go in either late April or early May, not sure of the exact date. It was a beautiful sunny day and the spring flowers were out, although not everything was open yet. Thank you for watching :)
It would depend on what you plan to do while you're there. If you are going to spend some time at the beach, or pack a picnic lunch to eat there, or enjoy the Centreville Amusement Park, then you would have to allow for more time. We were there for about 4 or 5 hours just wandering around. We had a great time and would definitely recommend a trip there. Thanks for watching :)
Can I ask you a question? I'm planning to propose to my girlfriend in late October can you suggest to me a perfect beautiful/ romantic spot on Toronto Island to do that? It will be her first time in Canada and we don't have time to go to Niagara Falls it's a short birthday trip.
Not really sure what Toronto Islands will be like in late October. By then the leaves may be off the trees, and the gardens won't be in bloom so maybe find a spot near the water with a view of the city in the background. It could be cold and rainy by then, so maybe go up the CN Tower and propose there? Wherever you decide, I'm sure it will be very memorable. Best wishes for your engagement :)
